Inaccurate door safety switch

Works well, until it doesn't.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this about 7 months ago when moving into our new-to-us house. The microwave worked just fine for our family of five. It's smaller than we were expecting, but it still ended up fitting what was needed. However, it recently stopped heating, and upon further research, I've learned that this seems to be a problem with this unit. Unfortunately, we cannot locate our receipt, so Frigidaire has not replaced the microwave as expected at this time.

Our microwave of the same model stopped working on thanksgiving also. We’ve also had our appliances put in by the builder of our home built in 2019. So many issues with the the same appliance. Ours stopped heating! I have had cheap microwaves last for many years!

Won’t heat only 17 months old

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Same problem I’m seeing in many other posts. Suddenly got much louder, and will not heat at all. Mine is also a new home, installed by builder. Now it is 5 months past the 1 year warranty. Looks like I am out of luck as well.

Not a reliable product

We have had this microwave for 2 years #FFMO1611LS… yesterday it just stopped heating period right before Christmas and a house full of family!!!! Sounds ok but won’t heat anything no matter how long you set the timer for!! This microwave came with the home now, no one wants to help fix the issue!!!

On MY SECOND FFMO1611LS in 2.5 YEARS

I am so sad to write that I have another broken microwave. The first time it was the turntable and the item was replaced under warranty within a year. This time the part is more than the microwave itself. It stopped heating the day before Thanksgiving. I think its the magnetron or the main part that controls the heating. The trouble is that I have the trim kit so in order to replace with another model, I have to buy another trim kit as well. It seems that this is a recurring issue after reading recent reviews. There has to be something that can be done.
