My new dryer

I bought this a few months ago when my old one went out. I decided to buy a GE because I bought a GE washer last year and wanted it to match. I am so glad I did because this is the best dryer I have ever owned. I love that the door opens out instead of down. The filter it in the door jam and is so much easier to take out and clean. The dryer is smaller on the outside but the same barrel size as my last dryer so it saves room. It dry's my clothes faster so it doesn't use a lot of electricity. The knobs are easy to use and read. It looks really nice too. I love my new dryer.

The dryer does not dry in one cycle. You have to dry 2 cycles to get clothes dry.
Also, lint accumulates around the door which I do not like and it also still collects under the filter and clogs.

The only model with a side vent.

This seems to be a good dryer for the price. (I've only been using it for a couple of days.) I bought it because GE is the only manufacturer who offers the option of a vent out the side of the unit. I have used a GE washer for the past several years and it is performing well. I can trust the GE label. I admit that I purchase mainly by price and, in this case, by the necessity of a side vent. I am happy enough with the purchase.
