Good value and excellent performance

This electric dryer works much faster than my old gas appliance, but the lint filter is poorly constructed, flimsy, and does not fit properly. This results in lint escaping outside of the filter. I found it necessary to sweep up what escapes. Lint can accumulate underneath the vent which could create a potential fire hazard if not frequently cleaned. GE does recommend professional lint vacuuming once a year but I would do my own cleaning more frequently.

My old dryer broke...so I had to get a new one. After the initial price shock...I found this one. Does everything I need it to do....and I am very happy with it.

Don't buy this dryer

I'm happy with this dryer except for one huge problem. When the door is opened to get clothes out, lint flies all over. The lint trap has no cover & is so small that it doesn't collect all the lint so it collects around the door seal & around the trap as well. I regret buying this dryer. If I could afford it, I'd buy another one because this one is SO bad.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
