I brought this dryer back in July 2014. Had to have a service tech come out four times for repairs.Finally GE replaced the original dyer with a new one, and I still am having issues with he new one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

M old dryer was 20 years old and now my clothes dry much faster and most of the wrinkles are gone if you catch it right away. I often check before it stops and they are already dry.

This dryer works well. The door design needs to be re-considered as it will not stay open while you are putting/removing laundry. It keeps trying to close and hits you in the leg. I have to put something in front of it to keep it from closing. The lint trap is flimsy..

Nice basic dryer

This is a great basic dryer. Air, low, med, and high heat settings. Cottons, perma press, delicates and timed dry timer settings. It has an end of cycle signal as well. I thought my old dryer was quiet, but this one is truly quiet. I love it so far.

I bought this dryer two weeks ago and I think it is great buy for the price. It is very simple and basic but does a great job drying large loads quickly and evenly.

I've only had the dryer for a few days, but so far I love it! Love the lighted interior and the large drum, quiet operation, and the clothes dry very quickly. So far so good!
