Good basic clothes dryer!

Does a good job of drying clothes - nothing fancy. Only slight problem is that the end of cycle buzzer is so quiet, it can't be heard unless you're standing right next to the dryer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not GE's best work

I have this dryer for a number of months now and it does dry my cloths, but there are some things that need to be fixed on future designs
.
1st.- the top part of the dryer timer seems to be a humidistat (like my previous dryer had). But the manual doesn't say what it Its. It seems to be a timer which is nowhere close to being correct. I now know that so I rely on the bottom timer.

2nd - The lint filter is too small and too cheaply made to be as good as it should be.
The manual says that a qualified technician should vacuum lint from the dryer once a year. That cost money. there should be an easy way to do that (removable panel, instructions in the manual.)

3rd - The signal indicating that the cycle is over needs to be much louder.

I like the lint catcher lifts out instead of dropping down into the dryer , door opens fully . is reasonably quiet, clothes ready to hang up

First use, scraping noise

Dryer exhibited a scraping noise when used the very first time (4 hrs after receipt). The noise was slightly more than intermittent and leveling did not change it. Service called.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
