Because of a narrow stairway it was necessary to find a dryer that could be taken to the laundry room. This turned out to be a great purchase!

Dryer does the job without a lot of frills. I like the inside light. However, does not have a hinge on the door that keeps it from closing as you remove laundry. This is a great dryer for the money and I like GE over the others.

We replaced a 20 year old dryer with this one. We hope it lasts as long. We enjoy the large drum size and the thorough way it dries.

The Timer shuts off prematurley on the Automatic Cycles and the Timed Cycle. Clothes not drying on first set. Does have large capacity but doesn't complete the dry without additional cycles supervision.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have only had the dryer for 3 weeks and it dries really fast. Not sure because it is new or just a great dryer. Very satisfied with my decision. GE has been around forever. The name alone helped me make my purchasing decision. :-)
