Lousy Design

This dryer has not worked properly from the first time I used it. The lint screen/filter design is totally inadequate. Even when I do a small load of clothing the filter rapidly fills up and I have to take a hand held vacuum cleaner to the "well" under the filter. Also, the dryer door gets loaded with lint and needs to be vacuumed off. I am surprised that an excellent Quality Engineering Department at GE would approve a design such as this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this dryer!

This dryer has a large drum that accommodates extra large loads. It's "optimum dry" feature dries the clothes quickly, evenly, and thoroughly.

Bought it 3 months ago. Works great, quiet and does the job. I wanted a large capacity dryer with a light inside. Lint catcher could be larger, but does a good job catching lint. No complaints, has more settings/operations than I need---but does what I want--dries lots of clothes quickly!
I would recommend this to a friend!

new problem, fixed

had to call for repair person a few days ago for noise from dryer drum making a noise in back. he was very good and knew his stuff, told me this new dryer has a minor problem with metal prongs that keep drum alinged and noise will stop in a week or two, i can acept this then he leved dryer, i was impressed with this teck!
