good features. a bit noisy. had to have repairman in less than a week after purchase for fan motor replacement and updating software. freezer door is slightly misaligned and repairman said it cannot be improved.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Keeps food fresh!

Remodeled entire kitchen and bought this full line of appliances. Haven't had GE before. Am impressed overall.
It keeps food fresher, longer than our old fridge (which was a great Maytag and has been moved into the garage for extra fridge space).
The fridge isn't solid stainless, sides are black. That caught us off guard, but not an big issue.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This appliance fits our needs very well, however, the plastic shelving is not practical - the sliding shelf does not have the capacity to hold much and is already broken.

Average Fridge with Awful Proprietary Features

Decent fridge, nice lights and acceptable lighting and accessibility. The glaring flaw is that it requires official, grossly overpriced GE-Brand filters. Almost 3X as much as a normal or off-brand one. Along with our other GE appliances of middling quality and performance, I'm likely not to repeat purchasing additional GE products.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
