Unit looks great and has a lot of great features but it has a lot of loud noises from the ice maker to different running fans that grab your attention and guest attention that are in the kitchen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GE’s failure of design

I think we have had 6 service calls on it, and between GE and the company we bought it from, they have put more warranty dollars into this piece of junk that what we originally paid. It has slowly ruining our kitchen flooring from leaking water from the bottom freezer because the drain keeps getting clogged. Poor engineering and poor quality from GE.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome purchase

This refrigerator is awesome. My partner and I were debating whether to spend the money and get a counter depth or a regular refrigerator, I gotta say I am glad we got this one. The stainless steel tone of the refrigerator matches perfectly with all our other Profile series appliances. I love the LCD screen and the display is clear. I only wish the screen was brighter and with a higher pixel density. The inside is very spacious, despite being smaller than our previous refrigerator. I like the drop down shelve on the butter organizer, very practical. Also on of the shelves inside the refrigerator has a sliding glass piece that slides back to accommodate for taller containers (ingenious!!!). The freezer compartment is also very well laid out and provides plenty of storage for big items. You also have two smaller drawers to store more items, and a small organizer by the door to place smaller items. My frozen breakfast sandwiches fit perfectly. I am very pleased with this refrigerator and all it has to offer. I would buy another unit on my next house.

Worst Refrigerator Ever

This is the worst fridge ever. We’ve owned it for only 7 years now and have had to have multiple repairs (that along with spoiled food together have cost more than the fridge) to fix simple basic parts that are so poorly designed or made that they stop working — leaving the entire fridge inoperable.

Solid Fridge

After having a competitors fridge for the last 7 years, we are thrilled to have this GE in our home. All the features of any competitive model but the GE brand and quality to boot. This refrigerator delivers an efficient, quiet, feature-packed experience...and the ice maker works like a champ.

Frig is loud!

Frig installed 18 Sept 14. Have no complaints other than the thing is loud and annoying at times. It also runs a lot, but I guess that is one of its features. I would recommend to friend but would inform them of the loudness.

Disappointed!

Bought this a few months ago and the deli drawer is now freezing the contents in the middle and in the back of the drawer. We have a GE repair person coming to the house tomorrow.
We also have some progressive buckling in the right side panel ( insulation issue). This is a replacement unit from one that had a more severe problem with buckling of the side panel.
Lastly, I'm not pleased with the slowness of the water dispenser and the sputtering of ice that hits the floor unless I use a very wide container to catch it. Otherwise, it looks nice and some cool features.

This is the second unit as the first had to be replaced. This one also seems to have cooling problems and has excessive noise when the compressor and ice maker engages.
