Great features; strange behaviors

I bought this fridge in February of 2015 to go along with my brand new home. The design is great and the features are cool. There are plenty of compartment to store your food and frozen items. The ice maker is not as great as I thought. When I select crushed ice, it releases a very limited amount and in a scattered manner. Also, the ice crusher seems to get stuck. Ice cubes, however, are fine.
It's a beautiful fridge but as it has been getting warm here Cali. The internal fridge temperature rises to 61 degrees. My drinks get sweaty and the deli compartment freezes. This is not normal because this just started happening after a year and a half. By the next morning, the temperature drops again. Weird, this happens lately when the temperature outside rises to 90 degrees or higher.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Freezer was a bit smaller than expected. Many stores did not offer floor models to view. The ice/water dispenser splashes leaving water stains on surface if not cleaned immediately.

I did a lot of research and comparisons, particularly on interior layouts and found this refrigerator to best suit my needs. The reality is--it's better than I even expected! The space especially on the doors is amazing! It's great that the icemaker doesn't take up shelf space as it does on several other brands. Heard some comments about noise. Haven't heard even a tiny bit of noise. I sometimes wonder if it's running! I was a little concerned about not having a second icemaker, but that has been a complete non-issue. I've learned to plan ahead or it's a large party--I just buy ice anyway!

Love the french door. Compared to my old fridge (a side-by-side) I can get twice as much in it and actually see what is in there!!

I purchased the GE Profile Series refrigerator, based on GE's reputation and this being one of their high quality product lines. Fast forward to about a year and a half -- this system have become pretty erratic with its cooling feature and has had several failures. I spent the extra money on this system because I wanted something reliable and stable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
