Extremely noisy!!!

Purchased with new home package. The unit is supposed to "hum". The hum is 65dB. It is like having a loud dinner guest talking over everyones conversation.

Nice compliment to my kitchen!

I have only had this for a week but so far, so good. It looks great with my other GE Profile appliances. The inside space is great in both areas and the lighting is nice and bright, we can see well! It is a bit louder than our old refrig and it is true that there is sometimes a water drip or two after using the water dispenser.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Lemon

I've had this refrigerator for about six months. If it worked, I would love it. But that's the problem: it has been a complete lemon.
About three months after we bought it, the fan and motor went in the refrigerator unit. That took a week to be replaced.
Today, it blew up completely. The freezer has stopped working. The interior lights have stopped working. The water dispenser has stopped working.
Perhaps I got a dud, but this has damaged GE's standing in my eyes. The double oven I want to replace might be a different brand now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Repeatedly Breaks

I had this for 40 days and it died. GE sent someone out 5 days later to repair it. The tech they sent, stated there was a known issue with the fan, and fixed in it 10 minutes. 11 days later it died again. This is well known defect in this product apparently, that I discovered.

Poor Quality and No GE Certified TECH's

I purchased a ge profile model 514383 in August 2014 and have already had three service calls. The first call took 15 minutes of less tech turned power on and off to set the ref. The second call was great the ge tech replaced fans for cooling. the third call the tech rest an error on the mother board less than 15 minutes was not a ge certified tech stated he would call friday to check on ref no call. Will be calling in a for service call this week. This will be my last ge appliance GE cannot provide certified techs for my area.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought this in December 2014. The product did not come with a water filter, and we had trouble finding the one that was meant for this model. The motor went out in April, but the service guy was excellent. The Deli drawer temp option broke after only 2 month of use. If there are more than 6 people around, we run out of ice. The features are great (automatic water, temp options in every drawer), but the quality is a major issue.

Installed on 3/28/2015 and the refrigerator is no longer cooling. Earliest warranty repair available is 5 days away. This was a common problem I found with this model when researching online before purchase, but it was offset with positive reviews.

Not a happy camper!

This is the second refrigerator in six months. The upper fan broke in the first three months of use. Two weeks ago, the second fan broke as well! Luckily it has been replaced. Let's hope this one lasts a lot longer!!
