Not extremely happy with it. A refrigerator only 6 months old shouldn't require two service calls already

The best part is filling up a container while you walk away and do other things. And a bonus, the shelf even expands to hold a larger container. Wow I love my Profile!! Thanks GE!!!

This is the replacement refrigerator from the fisrt one we bought which was a "Lemon" This refrigerator is working fine but it is very noisy. Make sure you read the owner's manual in detail, it will help you resolve any questions you have, especially how to work the ice maker and temperature settings. We would not buy another GE appliance in the future.

Since we have purchased this refrigerator in November 2014 we have had nothing but problems. When the fan turns on it makes a horrible noise. We have to turn the TV up just to hear our shows. Service has been out twice (scheduled again next week) and has not been helpful. In addition there is constantly condensation collecting on items inside the unit. Do not buy.

I purchased this refrigerator as a set of appliances to upgrade my kitchen. We originally had the model with the internal ice maker and water dispenser, but my significant other wanted it external so we made the switch and I have regretted it ever since. We have had this refrigerator fail to cool on two separate occasions. When it is working, it is the nosiest refrigerator I have ever owned. I know this may seem like a common complaint for refrigerators, but this is on another level. I am perfectly fine with a little hum from the compressor. This is noise akin to a spoon stuck in a garbage disposal. Anyone I have had come visit remarks on how nice all of my appliances are, only to comment about the refrigerator sounding like a semi-truck rumbling in the kitchen. Have had multiple failures on appliance. A new issue developed with a significant knocking sound (like the water pump is stuck) so hoping that doesn't continue. I had nothing but praise for the fridge we exchanged this one for, so I might have gotten a lemon but it is something I an unhappy about each and every day. Suffice it to say, there are better GE models out there, so stay away from this one.

Has Potential...

We were extremely excited to get this refrigerator and it worked great for the first couple of months and then nothing... Overnight the fridge shut itself down and ruined the contents. A technician came out the next day (quick turnaround) and told us it was dead. He then realized there is a fan inside the fridge which sometimes fixes the issue and sure enough he replaced the fan and it kicked back on. Haven't had any issues since then but the tech mentioned he has done that before for others. Also, my brother in law has the same exact model and has had to have GE out twice to fix the same fan issue. Perhaps it's just bad luck but more likely it's faulty engineering... I was impressed by the turnaround of the service and The GE insurance folks sent us a check for $100 to cover the lost perishables.

Bought this fridge in January, and very happy with performance, design, functionality and quality. Only issue is with the exterior finish. It smudges very easily and difficult to clean properly and seems to leave residue "splotches".
