The counter-depth model is excellent!

The organization of the interior stargaze areas makes this as functional as a full depth model, but much more suitable for a kitchen with an island

GE Profile Series Counter Depth Fridge

I just bought this new GE Profile Counter Depth Fridge. I love how I can organize all my food in the fridge and freezer. It holds way more stuff than the old one and the lighting is awesome. My kids and I love the water dispenser on this thing with the auto fill feature. So far no complaints at all. We are loving this fridge.

replacement of brand new ge fridge

bought brand new ge fridge, quite noisy, drips from water dispenser stains stainless steel tray, then after 6 months fridge stopped cooling. luckily tech found problem but during that inspection tech found bare wire near compressor (wow). ge had to replace unit with new because wire harness was not repairable. new fridge still noisier than what i think is normal, but tech states it is within range. only a couple months since replacement so still not trusting product. bought ge because US product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

LOVE my new GE Profile refrigerator

New home - new fridge. I love that it has so many features, e.g., ice maker on the door, precise-fill and hands-free auto-fill for dispensing water, touch display for so many settings, shelving arrangements to accommodate tall bottles, and that charming door alarm to remind you that the door is still open.

Easy to use

The French Door setup is probably the key to how very easy it is to find and retrieve items from the chilling section. Of course, the doors allow long and wide articles to be refrigerated. The lighting of the interior leaves no dark corners, so finding what I'm looking for isn't frustrating. The ledge below the shelves was left flat and nearly level which provides a place to set down items and free the hands to move other things as long as the doors are open. I use that feature every day.
When I first saw that I had three temp settings on the full-width drawer at the bottom of the chill compartment, I assumed I would set it on the middle choice and forget it. Now, I don't need to change it often, but when I do I'm glad I can adjust it.
The freezer's setup is workable and well lit. If you ever come out with a cabinet depth fridge with French Doors for the freezer as well as for the chill compartment I would try it. This one has a drawer that slides very easily. There is more space in this freezer compartment than in a side-by-side and the size of frozen items can be much larger than in my last side-by-side. Much more useful!

I have always wanted a French Door Ref/Freezer, but was afraid that I could not purchase one due the limited space in our kitchen. GE provided us the exact model that we were looking for!!

The product was defective and after several unsuccessful repairs, GE stood behind their product by replacing it. The new one works wonderfully and am finally enjoying all the nifty features.
