Unreliable!

We've had this for 6 weeks and the refrigerator has stopped cooling.

Best organized refrigerator we saw when shopping

We looked at many other models during 2 hours of shopping and found the GE Profile counter depth model to be the best choice for our needs and the best fit for our kitchen. All of the available space is useful and allows items to fit for easy access.

Pros:
Stylish, lots of cool features like autofill, and precise fill. The shelves are easy to adjust and clean up well
Cons:
I have the fridge for two months, and it has required frequent servicing. First, the freezer stopped working. A computer chip was replaced. Second, the automatic icemaker stopped working. Apparently, hot air was blowing into the icemaker, preventing it from freezing ice. Before this could be remedied, the food stored in the fridge began freezing. Although the temperature controls are set to the factory recommended setting of 37 degrees, register says the fridge is 40 degrees, yet my food is frozen solid.
Because the cons outweigh the pros in my opinion, I can't recommend this fridge to anyone interested in purchasing it.

The freezer has been off and on icing over making the drawer impossible to open and every time I open the door with the ice maker water drop out everywhere

FAILURE AT END OF 3 YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY

Unit has been trouble free until 3 yrs and 6 months of age. This was installed by new home builder. Many of my neighbors with similar age units also failed. Began freezing up in meat/deli drawer. Remainder of refrigerator will not cool above 61.

this was part of house we purchased new - it looks good, but the layout is awful - it can't hold any food - you can't even put a 12 pack of soda on the shelves - the doors won't close. we haven't figured out any advantage to a Refrig that heats water for coffee- maybe if you have a really small kitchen, but then again if it's that small this refrig won't fit. GE / Haier really needs to go back to the drawing board.

Bad leaking- company knows about. Don’t purchaWe!

This refrigerator leaks despite how many times we have tried to address the problem. Apparently GE knows that some of the refrigerators leak and has still not done anything about it. This is caused substantial damage to our wood floors.
