Maximizes space - Control panel Needs Improvement

I would give this a higher rating because of the features inside the refrigerator and freezer - GE figured out a way to maximize space for this counter depth refrigerator/freezer, and the temperature inside is consistently balanced, meaning the front and back typically are the same temperature. The controls still are a work in process and need much improvement. I replaced the front panel with the pushbuttons once within one month of purchasing, and the water and ice dispenser still get jammed from time to time. The push buttons on the control panel are very flimsy, made of a thin plastic, and jam easily. I also noticed that the auto fill feature does not always give you an accurate fill. Good product, but one of the reasons I purchased this was for the features on the outside. Hopefully they address this on future generations of the Profile Series. You must keep the base where you put your glass or container for ice and water clean and dry. It corrodes quickly and easily.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

All the features and made in the USA

We purchased this refrigerator 2 months ago preparing to move into our new house. We have had no problems. It has the icemaker in the door and all of the features of the popular imports but is USA made.

I purchased my new refrigerator to replace a side by side that had stopped keeping food cold and not freezing properly. I am so pleased with this new refrigerator with the bottom freezer. The space is perfect for all my frozen food and the refrigerator is very spacious. I am so happy with this product.

Love the water Auto Fill feature

I bought this a month ago and so far it has been flawless. Plenty of storage space. The water filter works extremely well and the water tastes great. I am extremely sensitive to water taste. The fridge is quiet too. I had read other people's reviews claiming the motor was noisy but I never notice it.

I bought my refrigerator right before the holidays, which is the ultimate testing period and it passed with flying colors. The different compartments kept everything organized, even with extra food in it. The temperature setting is at the various points of the refrigerator is perfect, no extra cold spots. I love the water/ice in the door. It even tastes better than the bottled water we've been buying for years and saves us money. I wish the freezer drawer didn't have the slant in it, but it is still plenty roomy.

Second time in 14 months it has stopped cooling

For the second time in 14 months we have opened the door to find the contents are room temperature. We were so excited about this product and it has not lived up to even our basic expectations.
