LOVE THIS REFRIGERATOR!!

We've have owned this refrigerator since December 2011.. This is the best purchase we have made in a long time. I love everything about it, so much so, that we just purchased a slightly smaller one for our in-law apartment.
The lighting inside is phenomenal, very bright. The room inside is also phenomenal. As for tall objects, the shelf on the right side slides back to accommodate them. All the shelves pull out to allow you to reach the items in the back. I am only 5' tall, so I sometimes have trouble reaching items way in the back.
As far as the ice cube maker, we are just two people, so there is plenty of ice for us. It occasionally clumps up and I usually remove the clump and use the ice plus feature to remake cubes faster, however, I read a tip online to set the freezer temp at -1 degree and I think that has eliminated that issue. Sometimes you may have to open the ice maker compartment to shake the bin to loosen the cubes if the get stuck so that they will drop down to dispense. That is a rare occasion however. If you have a larger family and use more ice, I would suggest dumping the ice bin into ziplock bags and keeping these extra cubes in the freezer section. I, personally, wouldn't trade the extra refrigerator space for a huge bulky ice cube maker.
The freezer space is also huge and more than enough space for us.
My favorite saying about this machine is that "I have never found an occasion that I ran out of space in this fridge". I have 40 people here on Christmas Eve and have no problem storing the food prior to and leftovers after ward. This machine gets an A+ rating from us..

Immensely let down

We were in the market two years ago for a new fridge. After lots of research I narrowed it down to this LG unit and another Manufacturer of similar portions.
In the end we made a terrible mistake. This fridge is very misleading. First off it states it is a 28 cubic ft unit, but we have not be able to maximize that space because the shelving design is not very intuitive. Things such as gallons of milk do not fit towards the back nor do many normal sized bottles. No we have actually lost 2-3 cubic ft. Then the door shelves are also under designed. Can barely hold a normal bottle of mustard. Who designs these things and what kind of food do they put into here for testing? The freezer area is actually great. No complaints there, but the fridge design is EXTREMELY poor. Also the water and ice dispenser is apparently very confusing. Over the last two years we have had more guests get water on the floor or themselves thinking they were getting ice.
My advice, steer clear of this product. For the money you spend on it you will be just as dissatisfied about it as we are. The sad thing is we are considering purchasing a cheaper fridge just for the additional storage space.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have owned this LG Appliance for almost two months, and it is quite large, however, if the bottom freezer was a little smaller which would give you more space in the refrigerator,[Now] THAT WOULD BE AWESOME !!!.

I have owned this frig for only one month and can not complain about anything yet. It has done all I was expecting it to do. Having a standard side/side previously, it took a little time to configure the shelves but now everything is perfect.
Pros: Performance, Features/Settings, Quality, Style/Design, easy to use

Refrigerator capacity is spacious, it has great space and adjustable shelves and multi purpose drawers. Freezer drawers are wide and spacious. Outside finish is easy to wipe clean.
Drawback - Ice maker is inside the refrigerator door and is extremely small capacity and needs to be dumped into freezer often to have enough ice for a family of 5.

I have enjoyed my new fridge very much. It has lots of room and with the pull out shelves I can find everything. I also like the ice in the door. More room on the shelves this way.
The inside light is bright enough so I can see everything at a glance.
The two drawers in the freezer help to keep things organized. Again the bright light helps
