Great Refrigerator

I am extremely pleased with the performance of the refrigerator. I especially like the alarm when the door is held open too long. I am very pleased they have the ice maker on the door to free up space on the shelf. The refrigerator is so quiet, I can hardly tell when it's running. I also like that the area to dispense water and ice is large enough to hold a pitcher. The only improvement I would suggest is the ability to set a water quantitiy. When I fill a pitcher, it is tedious to hold in the button until it is filled.

The best frig!

This refrigerator fits in the same space as my old side-by-side, but holds SO MUCH MORE! I now have designated places for everything because there is so much room. I may not even need my spare basement refrigerator any more!
I can now find my left-overs, because I can dedicate an entire shelf to them, and everything is much more visible.
It is great having the ice maker in the door, to allow for even more refrigerator space. Having smaller quantities of ice is no problem. We usually don't need that much at a time, and it is always possible to make additional ice and put it in the freezer bin. (That's where we usually keep our ice cream.)
The frig is very quiet. We were happy to be warned about the weird noise it made when it was pushed into place. We haven't heard that noise again.
Having a water filter is something new. Hopefully it will be easy to replace twice a year and readily available to purchase.
This is the best refrigerator I have ever owned. I only wish I replaced my old frig a long time ago!

We've had this for a month now. Unless you use a ton of ice, this is a great unit. Why waste 25% of your freezer or refrigerator space on an ice maker for that once per year party. Freezer drawer is also outstanding the way pulling the outer drawer easily pulls the upper inner drawer too and if you don't want what is in there finger tip pressure glides it back out of your way. LG really thought this baby out. If you have a family of 6 using ice it is probably a bad choice. Otherwise a great machine.

Love the French Doors on top and the Freezer on the bottom. The over size ice and water spigot are great for large glasses. We like the ice maker in the door rather than take up refrigerator space. Yes the ice cubes are smaller and the available quantity is smaller, but for us it is a great trade off. The Linear compressor motor is very quiet once the freezer and refrigerator reach set levels. Thought that we would have to invent some manner to use our refrigerator magnets because Stainless Steel will not work with magnets. But the left door of this refrigerator does work with magnets probably due to the built in ice dispenser located on it. We chose LG for its Value.

Best fridge I have owned!!

We were looking for a bigger fridge, and the French door style appealed to us. When we saw this LG model in the store, it really caught our eye! Once delivered and hooked up, I have never owned a fridge as nice as this one. OK, so you have to open both doors to get at the vegetable tray, and the ice maker isn't that big, but the fridge works great, it's huge, and it keeps all of our food at the perfect temperature, especially the milk!! I don't like warmish milk!! Thank-you LG!!

We have had this fridge for almost a month and absolutely love it! Every time my wife opens the door, she says "love this thing"! The only problem I have with it, is sometimes the ice cube dispenser only dispenses about 10 cubes and then stops. It is trying but the cubes have melted together a little bit and they don't drop down in the holder to be dispensed. We have to open it up and break up the cubes. Other than that, no problems at all. We woud definitely buy this fridge again!

I was leary at first. I was unfamiliar with LG refrigerators but this was the ONLY refrigerator that offered everything I was looking for. I have only had this refrigerator for 2 weeks but so far, I love it. With a french door model you should expect at times to have to open both doors, common sense! The space you have along with the ice maker is great! Ice maker is a little slow but for my situation it is just fine, unlike others I don't even notice noise from my ice maker. If it is really quite you might hear the ice drop. Overall so far I am very pleased with this product.

Excellent Refrigerator

This is an excellent refrigerator. Interior space is well designed, it is quiet, temperatures throughout are uniform, the front edge of the shelves don't scratch your hand when reaching in, and the chilled water is kept cold. The design of the icemaker is exceptional. It allows more room inside the refrigerator.
Only two things that could be improved are: there is a large meat/deli/produce drawer that spans the entire width of the refrigerator. When accessing that drawer, you must open both doors. Would be nicer if it was divided into two drawers. When you open the freezer drawer, there is a shelf drawer on top that you must reach in to pull out. Would like to see that drawer come out when you open the freezer.
We were worried that the icemaker was too small to keep up with our demand. So far it is doing just fine, and doesn't even seem to work hard to keep up with our ice needs.
Overall, the best refrigerator we have ever owned.
