Love the french door with freezer on the bottom. The lights are nice and bright on inside. Shelves have good spacing. So far do not have a problem with fingerprints on the stainless finish. Only negative is the water dispenser has a moment hesitation when you push the water button.
Pros: easy to use, Features/Settings

One BIG PROBLEM

Really?!!! ...The arrangement of the gallon jug holders in the door provides space for (2 shelves) 2 jugs each. BUT, why wouldn't you want to provide enough space to fit them in without having to cram them in?! The spacing between (above/below) could have been better with a little design modifications. ....DUMB.
Other than that, we like the fridge.

This refrigerator say away from it, it like to go through compressors every 18 months. DO NOT BUY IT.

After our old side-by-side died the week before Christmas, we had to find a replacement, and fast. I had been wanting a French door refrigerator for some time and decided that if I was going to have to purchase a new refrigerator anyway, I was going to get what I wanted.
I love the capacity of this fridge. Am very happy with the separate temperature controls of the storage bins as it keeps our food fresher, longer. Being able to slide the top shelf back to a partial depth is great for the occasional taller items without having to move an entire shelf. Love the fact that they have put storage shelves on the door with the ice maker. Even though these shelves are not deep, they are perfect for condiments so they don't end up hidden behind other items. It is also very quiet. I never noticed how loud the old refrigerator was until we had this one.
We have had some minor problems with the ice sticking in the ice maker but it has not been a major problem to date. We have had the fridge long enough to change the water filter. While it appears to be working properly, it did not reset on the digital display. Have not had a chance to see if there is a problem with this or not.
I like the capacity of the freezer as well. Was concerned about a bottom freezer due to occasional back problems but the height of the handle is good and it open/rolls out easily. I was concerned about the center flap on the upper door as it does not appear to be high quality. Have not had a problem yet. After reading other reviews, I will be more careful about closing the door to prevent a problem.
I would definitely recommend this product.

Contacted LG because in trying to keep the door seals clean on my french door refrigerator, they have continually torn through no matter how careful I have tried to be. Impossible to keep them clean and not destroy them in the process. Wanted to find replacement parts to fix the issue and can only get it fixed by hiring a service tech - even name brand purchases are the wrong thing to do these days. Thought this was a wise purchase but am finding out differently. This fridge isn't even 3 years old and already having these problems. Irritating at best.......
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Everything about this Refrigerator is outstanding, but I have to take some ice from the ice-maker at least once per day or it will freeze up.

Compressor went after 2.5 years!

I would have given it 5 stars,[in the beginning], but the compressor went after 2.5 years and the integrity of the control panel and ice and water resevior needed replacement. When it works it works well! Ice storage is small! Had an extended warranty on parts and labor, otherwise would not recommend!

Great refrigerator for first 2 years........ now ice in door is sticking together so we have to open the ice compartment and hit the ice so it loosens up. Also now the water dispenser is dripping 6 or 7 drops of water after using. It never even dropped 1 drop before. Looked at LG answers on-line and it really was not much help. Nothing I can do except replace or make a service call. Very sad because the appliances we replaced with all LG were all over 10 years old and they still worked great. Really questioning the long term quality of LG products.
