Almost faultless performance for six years!

Barring one irritant of rust coming out with the ice cubes, this fridge has served us very well and the build quality is excellent!

The freezer doesn't cool

The refrigerator has ice build up in the freezer. As soon as that happens, the freezer and the refrigerator doesnt cool properly. For a product that is 2k and only lasted 7 years, it's a rip off. Never buy this product again.

Water Filter

New water filters no longer fit this Fridge, never had a problem in 4yrs. After buying filters from several other sources as in the past and the filters not fitting, I contacted GE Parts and purchased a "GE" filter thru GE parts. It didn't fit either Same identical filter as the others. The center hole in the filter is slightly smaller than the old ones. It seems to be a manufacturing issue
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love my new fridge!!

My last GE fridge provided me with over 25 years of service, so I wanted to stay loyal to the brand. I chose this GE profile because it was beautiful inside and out, and had a great set of features. The shelves are sturdy and logical, with plenty of room for adjustments. The LED lights provide great illumination of ever nook and cranny of it's spacious interior. The front panel controls are simple and functional. Nice to have ice and cold, filtered water without opening the fridge. I look forward to many happy years with this refrigerator. My wife and kids love it, too!

Going good since 10 yrs

Overall wonderful refrigerator we have it for 10 yrs now, no issue with cooling, sometimes it was getting icy in middle rack of refrigerator but we reduced the temperature and now its fine. The plastic veggies rack has cracks and i cant find a replacement other than that no issues.

A decent fridge with several issues. The freezer fan rubs in the housing every time it turns on. This makes a loud buzzing sound that can be heard two rooms away. The ice maker is pretty slow, even in the "quick ice" mode. The drawers are very flimsy and not durable. I've had 2 crack beyond repair. The frostguard defrost system is a mess. Replaced the temp limit switch and heat element. Seriously who puts a glass tube heating element where water is going to drip directly onto it?!?! Final straw is the freezer section is no longer usable at 11 years old. Temp goes down to -3 then up to 12-15. This variation ruins a lot of frozen items (causes freezerburn)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Do not purchase this. Paid some to fix it twice 300 each time and it stops cooling. Waste of money. Going with a different brand.
