Too hot to handle

Just remodeled my kitchen with all stainless appliances. The handle and microwave box itself get so hot from the heat rising from the gas range burners that I have to remember to use a potholder. The microwave is installed higher than the minimum height required, so that is not the problem. The handle needs some sort of heat shield, like you see on hot coffee cups. It's really bad.

This is junk. Had it 90 days and had to be repaired three times (replace circuit board, Motor, fan). Takes forever to cook anything (double the recommended time for everything)

Reliable microwave with good features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave started off with a rattling noise after the installation for several days. It could have been the installation by the workers. The vent system is not exactly how I would like for it to work, it is very noisy. The other uses of the microwave oven is acceptable and useful. The appearance is great and so are the other features besides the vent system. The features would have been excellent if the vent noise had been quieter. The inside of the range with the rack is basically useless when it is used. Very limited space at top for anything to be on the rack.

Fair Price & Visually Appealing

It's a little slower than our last GE microwave in heating things up; 30 seconds on high does not heat at the same level, which causes us to add an additional 15-30 seconds. We really like the venting system. The price was fair and it does the job. It looks great in our kitchen :-)
