Replaced 11 Year Old with this unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced an 11 year old GI JVM1650 with this unit with only minor mounting modifications. So far, so good. I hope this one performes as well as the one it replaces.

Best Bang for Your Buck

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Simply put it's the best bang for your buck. Could you get something that has more features? Sure but not at this price. Could I have bought something bigger? Sure but for another mere .2cuft jack that price up another $100 (almost another 42% more). Easy install too as it replaces another GE over range microwave oven (12 years old) so all the mounting was already there (15 min from unpacking to powered on). So all in all it was a no-brainer to get this one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A bit lacking in style but it fit in the existing hole.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The front is top heavy in appearance. There is too much blank white space. Other than that it works very much like the 12 year old GE microwave it replaces. That is convenient as we do not have to retrain ourselves. I installed it myself and found the instruction clear and complete. The template for laying out the holes is way too flimsy. but the measurements are easy to figure out as it is to scale. The mounting bracket is much easier to work with than the old one. That made slipping it into place a piece of cake. Unfortunately we will have to look at it every day.

This is a good basic microwave, but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave is efficient and the controls are easy to use. I would have prefered a shorter cook box without the (useless) wire racks resulting in a smaller unit that fit into the usual spaceing provided over a stove. The deeper cook box extends the front edge of the cabinet down over the stove under it. This makes it difficult to view the back burners, accessing the control knobs of the the stove on the back panel and hindering the use of large cook pots. The previouse M.V. had a beveled, lower front edge, giving the cook a full view of the entire cook surface.

It has great features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave is wonderful I bought it to replace another one I had purchased in 2005 and everything was installed the same as the one it replaced so it was a very easy install. It is so quiet and so fast doing everything. I just love this microwave.
