I have had this product for over 3 years and it works well all the time. The wireless function connects easily to all computers and my phone. It just keeps going and going. The only downfall is the large size.
Pros: Superior build quality, Super-sharp images
Cons: large size

Great for printing and scanning

Its a little bit noisy but the scanning is very easy even when you have a pile of docs and the result is top quality. Setting up the printing is not complicated. Ink cartridges are not as expensive as the other printer brands. Investing in this printer was worthy!

Don't Like It!!!

I have had this Canon MX340 for a few years now and I just do not like it. I have had a couple other printers that were much better. This one prints lousy pictures and every time I try to use the wireless something seems to come up that I have to do a reinstall of something. I just tried to scan something and it won't send to my computer. Says navigator may be installed wrong. But, I can print from the living room. I can say that I will not buy another Canon printer.
Cons: poor faded out picture quality, problems with wireless printing & scanning
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not the Most User Friendly Printer!

This product is fine if you don't mind baby sitting the process. Paper feeding can be expected to double up and/or jam so you need to stand near and send the sheets in one at a time. Of course one element which is common to nearly all printers is that the printer is inexpensive. The big surprise comes when you go to buy the cartridges. Merchandising at its best!

For the price point, this printer offers a lot of value. It is truly all-in one and is capable of photo quality printing as well. That and the wireless capability made this purchase a no-brainer. Installation took me about 40 minutes. Canon did its homework - the installation guide covers practically every question you might have, with one exception. They don't mention until the end that you can print the mac address (and other info) for the printer from a menu option. Since I use a mac address filter on my wireless router, I had to disable it temporarily to get the printer going without knowing the address. Having used it only a week or so, reliability and ink consumption are impossible to judge. However, using it could not be easier. Printing is just like a corded printer, copying was easy to figure out without looking at the manual. Some of the scanning and faxing features will probably require a look at the manual, which is installed on your PC with the printer setup. Canon did not scrimp on buttons or labels on the control panel. No need to guess the meaning of arcane symbols or go through button gymnastics to get the most common features. When not in use for awhile, it seems to take a nap; and when you wake it up, it takes about 40 seconds for the first sheet to enter the printer. After it is awake, it takes about 13 seconds for the first sheet to start printing. These seem like acceptable delays for power saving when not in use. The MX340 is noticeably noisier than the MP610, but not much different from our old major brand ink jet printer that is much slower, requires a cord, and cannot scan, fax or copy. Some people say it is on the large side. I think it's perfect. Overall, I love this printer. It is a great value, with every feature I ever hoped for in one machine.
Pros: Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: a little slow starting the first page

This is the perfect multifunction printer for a small office. Printing is fast and efficient. The scanning capability is extremely good as well as the ability to make copies. Faxing may be done from your computer or directly from the printer. I have sent multi page faxes with no issue. In addition the printer is wireless...
Pros: easy to use, awesome for a small office, great value, well built
Cons: none
