I have had this machine for about six months, and it has been an excellent addition. Like most instructions from non-US companies, there were a few spots in the setup instructions that were difficult to figure out, but the machine practically sets itself up once you get it started on the path. The print quality has been great. My only complaint is that it's a little noisy, especially when it is cleaning itself, but that is a minor (and brief) inconvenience. The shape is sleek and the buttons are easy to read and understand. I would recommend this printer to anyone for whom high speed, high volume printing is not needed.
Pros: Compact Design, Sharp Tones & Colors, easy to use

I have had more than 30-40 printers in the last 10 years, & I can honestly say I have bought the most expensive to the cheapest. This printer is by far the most economical but still a very trustworthy brand. I love it because I use it & my kids use it with absolutely no complications. It is the most " durable" product I have bought in years at this price. Very HAPPY!!

OK for the $$$$

The product prints photos and documents well. Had trouble connecting the fax because of wireless phone, but was able to resolve that with technical support help. The only drawback is the fax machine portion of the printer is not able to be setup with number of rings/answer feature. You either get phone priority or fax priority. Must be near the machine to receive the faxed document.
Pros: Compact Design, Easy Setup, durable, Lightweight/Portable, easy to use
Cons: Slow Print Speed, internal fax flimsy

worth every dime. I didnt need some super machine but something I could use in the event I opened a small business with. They have great tech support and made a great product. I promise youll get your bang for your buck with the pixma mx 340!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bad choice

Have a different All-in-one. Bought this one to be used wireless and with Windows 7. Printer has to warm up constantly. This makes it very slow. It also uses much more ink than our older printer which is not a Canon and not good quality at times. It has had to be re-installed numerous times, and has to be set up again after a power failure.
Most of the time now, we send our files to the older desktop and print on the other printer.

Simple installation

I have always trusted Canon products and the MX340 earns my trust. Installation was simple and straightforward using the documents provided. The packaging is stellar guaranteeing that the product arrives undamaged and ready for work. The product feels, looks and sounds like quality.
All functions are excellent for a printer in this price range.
I'll be using it in a home office setting.
Nice work Canon.

I have used all the features and I like it. Excellent printer. No complaints. 100% Satisfied.
Pros: scan print wirelessly nice fax machine
Cons: the machine only has a dialpad for the fax machine
