Yes, I agree with most everyone that the ink consumption could be better. Hopefully they are working on that. Would love to see high capacity ink cartridges.
Because of the ink consumption I purchased 2 other all in one printers. Have come back to my Canon.
While the others worked well this one still works the best. As a home business I need the fax and scan functions to work perfectly. this one does. It allows printing from memory if necessary and gives images of faxes sent - which I was told by another company that is not important. Well in my work it is.
The printer was easy to set up and easy to use. The software that comes with it for scanning is perfect and allows me to save where I want which is not the case with a few others.
Oh as far as printing - Have been very pleased with everything I've printed from documents to graphics to photos.
Thank you Canon for a great product! Oh I forgot to add that the customer service is also excellent and very responsive!!!
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, durable, easy to use
Cons: Large Footprint, Heavy/Bulky, High Ink Consumption

Unreliable Printer

This is the worst printer I have ever owned, don't waste your money. Half the time I can print and half the time I get a message that the printer is not responding. The only way that I have found to fix this problem is go back and reinstall the printer again, which is a big pain. If I had it to do all over again I would NOT purchase another Canon printer.
Cons: unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great printer Great price!

I am replacing a MP530 printer that worked very well. I did want the wireless capability so that I wasn't tethered to the printer and can move around the house. Since I've gotten it, i've been blown away. The set up took minutes, its slightly smaller than the older model i replaced so it fit very well on the shelf. It takes a couple of seconds to wake from sleep, but not a deal breaker. The print quality is very good and the ink price is very reasonable. The fact that you can print, scan and make photo quality prints wirelessly is wonderful for my home business.
Pros: Compact Design, Easy Setup, Low Ink Consumption, Lightweight/Portable, Sharp Tones & Colors, easy to use

Great All-In One Printer

The is a very nice all-in one printer with everything I would expect.
Setting up the wireless was quite a chore though. I'm not a newbie at setting wireless connections and I had to really think a little while installing it.
If this is the printer your thinking about buying, I would suggest asking Nerd to help you get it up and running.

Great printer, great price

I purchased The Canon MX340 printer after reading that Canon printers are a great match with Imacs. I was impressed from the minute I opened the box. The printer looks more expensive than it was and it was very easy to set up. Print quality is great. Great features also. Canon is my choice from now on for printers.

SERIAL NUMBER

The serial number is too difficult to find. Things like how the top closes svery lowly on it's own after finding the print cartridges and serial number are not in the manual, and it is very loud when it prints. Too large and bulky.
Pros: easy to use
Cons: Heavy/Bulky, too noisy, serial no. to hard to find

like it NOT SO MUCH

since I love my little iP90 I decided to get a Canon multiprinter. It was NOT all that easy to set up and I still can't get the scanner to work as it should or as OTHER multi printers operate...simple!
If I have to take it in I will NOT keep it.
Pros: Sharp Tones & Colors, looks nice
Cons: Difficult to use, Difficult Setup, unreliable, scanner is awful
