Great HDTV Upgrade

Been reading about LED TVs and decided to upgrade from a 32 inch HDTV to this 47 inch. LG got wonderful reviews and I totally agree. From the moment it was plugged in the picture has been awesome. In fact, it puts non-HD broadcast channels to shame as they pale in comparison. Sports and other live shows are superb. Have not had to make any adjustments to any original settings. My purchase came in a package with a Blu-Ray player and a wireless internet receiver. I LOVE the content I can receive such as Netflix, YouTube, Vudu and other features through this connection. Overall a sweet deal that I look forward to using for many years to come!

We have been wanting a new TV for a long time and it wasn't until our old monstrosity died that we actually went out and bought a new one. I researched a lot of different brands and this one stood out. I was set on getting a TV that was internet connectible for the ease of watching movies from online sites instead of renting all the time...This TV was easy to set up, has an absolutely amazing picture and is very stream lined and takes up very little space. The fact that it has WIFI..was a bonus...we already had a home network set up so connecting it was a breeze...The deal that we got was out of this world with the TV, Blue-Ray player, and wireless adapter...we could not pass it up.

It is the best TV we ever owned. It is clear , bright, sharp imiaging, good sound. We feel like we are at the movies everytime we watch televison. So far LG seems to make a great TV. We wn an LG cell phone thats five years old and still works fine.

I HAVE HAD A OTHER LG TV'S PRIOR TO THIS ONE A 42" LCD AND BOTH HAVE BEEN GOOD TV'S OVERALL .PICTURE OUSTANDING AND VIVID. I ALSO HAVE A SONY 46" LCD IN HOUSE AND BY FAR MY SIGNIFICANT OTHER WANTS TO TAKE MY TV OUT OF MY ROOM AND PLACE IN THE LIVING ROOM ,,BUT ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN ESPECIALLY THE LED " LE5400 "

Overall Good for the price, but improvement needed

Good TV, but lacks brightness and complicated menu. Lacks WIFI connect and needs additional accessories. When connected to cable and switching channels it makes a click noise everytime which is horrible. Certainly product needs some improvement.

We purchased this LG LED TV in Oct, 2010. We have been extremely pleased with the quality of the product, crispness of the picture and overall performance of this TV. We have owned other LG products and have been pleased with their performance, and are equally satisfied with this TV. We would definitely recommend this product!

TV with no picture

I have owned the 47LE5400 LG led tv for just over a year.
Beside a slow start up time and having to view the LG logo it was ok. That is until I went away for a week and upon returning found that my TV had picture and no sound. Having a TV set that is less that 2 years old and it breaks does me no good at all. I had turned off the serge protector so there was no electricity going to the unit. So, there was no power surge.

I have had no problems from the TV and watch it every day. Great picture quality, sometimes feels like watching out a window instead of watching TV.
