Impossible to maintain range top

While the cooking and oven features work well, this gas range is a nightmare to keep clean. The black finish has towel smears after, AFTER, 5 attempts to clean with warm, sudsy water. It is always smeared in one direction or another. The burner caps immediately spot from cooking and will not come off with a variety of attempts to clean them. After 1 1/2 years, the buner tops already look older than any range I've ever cooked on. WORST OF ALL IS THE HORRIBLE FINISH ON THE BURNER GRATES. Their surface is like the roughest sandpaper one can find. Try putting the grates back on after trying to clean the stovetop. The grates are so rough they sand off the paint on the stove top. My range top already looks like it's been abused for 5 years, as careful as I have been. THE WORST PART OF THESE AWFUL GRATES is how the rough surface is ruining the bottoms of all the cookware and my cookware is worth much more than the range.
I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS RANGE OR IT'S UP-DATED VERSION FOR ANYONE WHO LIKES TO COOK.

Highly recommmend this range. I had to convert mine to LP gas which was fairly easy except for the oven bottom rear orifice, that took a bit of time, but the instuctions are very clear. Very easy to adjust the size of the flames for your taste and style. We have used the oven, the broiler, and every burner on top except for the center burner, which we plan to use with a grilling plate and we haven't gotten to that yet. The oven heats quickly as does the pans on the burners. We converted from an electric so there is really no good comparison...gas is way better. The food even tastes better from the oven. Less mushyness in the center. I would definitely buy this product again.

Got my new range, refrigerator, and microwave delivered today. Only problem, they all have different colored displays, which you can't see in the store since they aren't plugged in. Frige has a white display while the microwave is green and the range is blue. Here I have all these beautiful new appliances but they all look very odd together, like I bought different brands of each. I wouldn't mind so much if the range and microwave were the same since the mirowave is built in above the range. Pretty disappointed.

Overall Great Buy

I love this new stove. There are only a few gripes about it. My main complaint is that the center griddle burner does not quite put out as much heat as I would like it to. Cooking on the griddle burner tends to take a little longer than preferred. The only other thing that bothers me a bit is the spacing on the grates. Having a huge gap in the grates causes some issues when trying to warm items on over the burner, like tortillas. Other than that this baby bakes, broils, boils and simmers like a dream.

Very much like the the range, but....

Cleaning the top is a real challange. Because the surface is below the grate level by over an inch, it becomes a well for crumbs, etc. I see it as a design flaw. I love the idea of the griddle, but it takes excessively long to heat--at least ten minutes. The instruction book does not indicate the amount of time it should be heated before it is ready to use. I've gone back to a cast iron pan!

Nice Range, Good power

I like this range very much. It has superior power compared to many other ranges of it's type. The large oven with the extra large viewing window makes baking a dream. The biggest problem that I have with the range is that you must let the griddle burner heat up for a long time before you are ready to make pancakes or anything else on the griddle. The griddle heats very evenly and once it is heated it is very easy to keep even heat for cooking. The power burners are great the the superboil lives up to it's name. I also love the simmer burner as I can get it just right for a pot of soup or sauce to stay at a simmer for a long time. I would easily recommend this product to a friend. I also like the features like proof and warm.

Great Range for Cooking

This range is my first venture into convection cooking and I couldn't be more pleased! I find the temperature to be accurate and meals cook faster and much more thoroughly. I love the griddle in the middle of the stove top. At first I was concerned about such a specialized use taking up so much space until I found a Rachael Ray Oval sauce pan that fits the oval center burner absolutely perfect. Now I have 5 fully usable burners in a compact design. I also love the varied sizes of burners for different size pans/skillets. I couldn't be happier with this beautiful range!
