Efficient, Looks Good, Smart Design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator has been a work horse and is quiet as can be. My only issue is the placement of the Ice maker in the door. The ice constantly gets slightly thawed and sticks together and when you press the ice lever, nothing comes out. So you are forced to open the ice compartment and remove the ice bucket and loosen the ice and reinsert the ice bucket into its compartment.
I would prefer the ice maker to be inside the refrigerator at the top left side. I am not concerned with loosing a little shelf space at the expense of having semi melted ice on the door compartment.
Pros: Features/Settings, Performance, easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cooling went out in it after about a year. The warranty says it has expired so it has not been fixed. If it was fixed I would love to use it again as it was exactly what I wanted when I bought it and now. The only thing I can complain about is the warranty. This is not the only one the cooling has stopped in. I believe the manufacturer should have seen there was a problem and made a recall or honored warranties for this situation.

Never had an issue with the crisper freezing my produces like some other brands have done in the past. Will definitely stay with LG products on our next upgrade.

Nice Fridge But...

We’ve had this fridge for years now and while I love all the features on it. I absolutely hate the ice maker . We have had it repaired and it still gets stick regularly causing water to spill all over the fridge and on the floor. Poor design with how the drops into the bin to be dispensed.
Unfortunately I don’t want to keep spending the 245 dollars a to get new parts.

Beware of LG refrigerators!!!!

While I have absolutely loved my LG refrigerator for 10 years and 2 months, the freezer and now the refrigerator has stopped cooling. Of course this happens during a holiday weekend. Repairman that have returned calls over the weekend will not touch an LG due to the compressor issues/class action lawsuit. Mine failed 2 months after the warranty period. The only repair reference LG website shows in my area has horrible reviews. Hesitant to replace compressor as the part has been deemed defective. Do your homework, google LG compressor issues. Don't be left with a huge silver paperweight like I am.
