French Door Fridge

I do like this fridge except for one thing. The ice forms into a mass and ice will not drop down. This happens frequently and becomes annoying. I would have to dump out the ice so it would work. However, I do like the look, the size of the fridge and the freezer. If there's some way to prevent the mass of ice forming, I would like this fridge much better.

The compressor was going out on my 12 yr old refrigerator so I needed to purchase something quickly. I had done some online research, but the main feature I wanted was water and ice in the door and wasn't tied to any one brand. As soon as I saw the space saving feature of the LG ice maker, I was hooked. I also really like the added space in the water dispenser. Once the LG 'frig was in my home, I realized an oversight on my part in the french door design. My 'frig sits against a wall so we cannot open the right door completely which means we cannot fully open the full width drawer. This is an inconvenience, but by no means something LG could fix. Now that we have had the unit in our house 1 month, the right door is starting to not close completely if opened by itself. Fortunately the alarm goes off and we are able to push it shut, but this is something which LG could possible fix. My old unit was a bottom mount so I am used to the freezer being on the bottom. I prefer the drawer of the LG to the door of my previous unit. What is somewhat confusing to me the design of "sprockets" used. They are really quite noisy when opening the door. When everything is being made to be more and more quiet, I would think LG would have noticed the clicking noise the freezer drawer makes when opening. I even went back to the place of purchase to see if it was just my unit and no, the sound could be heard above the racket in the store. I must have been star struck with the 'frig and didn't notice it at the time of purchase. I really like the look of stainless, but have found keeping it free of fingerprints is an ongoing battle. My kids are 15, 13, and 11 and we (me mainly) are wiping the doors down 3-4 times a day. One last thing is that when the doors are opened, static comes over the space saver radio mounted under the cabinet next to the 'frig. Again, nothing LG could do to fix, but takes away a bit to my level of satisfaction. The unit is very quiet and it took us a few days to get used to how much more solidly frozen food was coming out of a functioning freezer!

We purchased our LG refrigerator April 2007 for our new home its been the worse piece of Junk we have ever bought 6 month after we had it a lot of the plastic trim work that hold the veggie tray broke .A year later i went into the frig to get something and the top of the orange juice carton was hot apparently the light inside the frig did`nt shut off . I will never buy another LG product Model # LFD 022860ST
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this unit about 8 weeks ago and I have had 3 repairs on it since. There is over a 6 degree difference in the left side of the ref. in front of the ice maker. The repairmen have tried several different fixes, but all I get are frozen eggs and food in that section. The left door does not close at times and I was told this is a common problem with LG. I like the quality of the stainless, but I would not buy this LG product again. There are too many other brands that have better quality. I have another call into LG to help resolve the freezing problem in the left ref section.
Pros: easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Fridge

We purchased this refridgerator about 6 months ago and have been very pleased with it's design, finish, and functionality. The lighting is great, the interior and exterior surfaces are easy to clean and maintain. The design fits our needs though I wish there was increased flexibility in shelf heights. The door alarm is invaluable. The ice maker tends to jam as the ice sticks together and will not feed to the crusher. Simply take out the container and jostle the ice and reinsert. It then works fine.

Best frig we have owned

We've owned many refrigerators the past 40 years and our LFX25976ST is the best yet. The LED lighting and silent running are big pluses and the reduction in power consumption is noticeable on our monthly electric bill. The beeping when the frig is open for a while is a nice touch that comes in handy. We like the convenience of ice and cold water at the front of the door and the availability to store more ice in the bottom freezer section when we know we are having company over and will need the ice for drinks. In addition, the ice maker does a great job of crunching ice too. The stainless is easy to keep clean and has really added value to our kitchen. We've owned this refrigerator for several months.

Best choice ever made for a Fridge

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this FRIDGE, has plenty of room, no more worries about the ice chest/dispenser taking up room in the fridge. Love the features such as the LED lighting, and pitcher height dispenser to name a few. Overall, this is the fridge you'd want in your kitchen, because of its features and versatility!
