Tv is great i watch a lot of sports and movies so far tv is great had it since 12/24/10 so still a lot to learn 3d is very good my kids have was 3 movies so far glasses cost a little to much if you have to get five pairs of them so the family can enjoy movies together

My first Samsung product. I have been looking for over two years. I wanted to get the best buy available.This 8000 series is everything I expected and more. I am very satisfied with the picture and features. The picture is outstanding. I'm still learning the menu. This 8000 series is a great product.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

This TV is AWESOME, I have to re watch all my action movies to see what I've missed, . This product also have great features.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: rear chassis vibrate @ some level, have to adjust sound 2 minimize vibration.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I OWN THE SAMSUNG 55" 8000 SERIES 3D LED, WOW THIS IS NICE TV, THE ONLY THING THAT I WANT TO KNOW IF SOMEONE HAS ANY PROBLEM WITH IT, BECAUSE SOMETIMES THE PICTURES GET FREEZE.

Can't Watch any other TV's now

I LOVE this TV!!! The picture is amazing. The only problem...it's so good that now I can't stand to watch any other TV of lesser quality. Samsung is the only brand of TV I will purchase. This is my second one and they are both awesome. Just be weary that you won't be able to stand watching the pictures on any other TV in your house after seeing this one. It's like trying to go from color back to black and white.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: can't watch other tv's now

After weeks of researching 3-D TV's, it was obvious Samsung was the only brand to consider. Compared to other brands, the Samsung 55" Series 8000 3-D LED/LCD stands out as the model to beat. The resolution and contrast are amazing and when paired with the bundled Samsung Blu-Ray player that came with it, 3-D images literally jump out of the screen. My most negative comment about this TV would have to be about mounting options. Rather than automatically including a table stand, it would have been nice to have been given the option of a table stand OR wall mounting brackets -- which are a very pricey add-on. (Anyone want to buy a slightly used table stand?)
Pros: Bright display, vivid color and contrast, better-than-average sound, intuitive onscreen menus make for easy adjustments
Cons: wall-mounting brackets aren't included, additional 3-d glasses are expensive

only thing better than this television is the 65" version. the picture is amazing. im not a big fan of 3D in general, but it seems to accomplish 3D very well. colors are amazing, refresh rate is amazing; one con is it should come with a keyboard. another con is the remote doesnt have certain needed functions to adjust the picture quickly, thus you must go thru menus. i'd like to have dedicate buttons for refresh rate control, and eco sensor.
Pros: Realistic color
Cons: remote quick functions, needs a keyboard

The colors and clarity are brilliant. The HD are so life like, we hardly use the 3D option. One of the best features i like is the ability of the TV to play almost any file format when I connect an external hard-drive with video and/or sound files. The auto adjust of the brightness of the screen is another nice feature - very use when we start it up early mornings - this feature ensures that we do not get a super bright picture hence going easy on early morning eyes! The biggest disappointment is that this TV does NOT have any keyboard support. I checked with tech support - they confirmed that the TV does NOT have a keyboard support and there are no plans in the near future to provide the support either. The widgets in the Samsung blue-ray player are more advanced than the TV. Overall though an excellent experience!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, super clear picture
Cons: no keyboard support
