This TV is sweet, went in for a 6000 and walked out with my 8000 series. I could not be happier. I've never bought anything of such high value without any regrets or second thoughts but this was the first. Blu Rays are unbelievable on it, I just keep wanting to walk up to the TV and touch the characters on screen, they look so real, like they are there in person or you've become part of the movie. Samsung has truly outdone themselves on this one. If you're anything like me though, you might want to invest in a good universal remote. That has been my only disappiontment, great TV, cheap remote

The TV is the best i've ever seen. The internet on it needs a lot of work. They should release a firmware update with a web browser and or at least the ability to stream netflix.

when got this tv, perfect. 3mos later, flashlight starts to
show all over the corner when watching in a dark scene.
if someone didn't see it then don't tell them. once u see it
then it's very visible everytime u watch the darn thing.
too bad good thing has to come to an end. tv is beautiful.
sometime new tech. is not the best choice. wonder if any
difference with the new 8500 series. gotta call samsung
for service see if they can fix it.

Spent a very long time shopping and researching TV's before finally deciding on this set. The price tag on it is definitely steep, but you get what you pay for!
2D picture quality is all I can speak for currently and it is out of this world. When people visit, they say they weren't even aware TV's have reached this point yet.
Definitely a great investment. I should not have to upgrade to another TV for many, many years to come.
If you're considering it, go buy it! Deeper blacks than an LCD and better contrast than a plasma.

I became familiar with Samsung displays in command posts and dining facilities while in Afghanistan. I was impressed with the quality of the displays, and electronics that functioned, and functioned well in that environment. I waited to purchase a new TV until LED technology and price point made sense. This unit has amazing picture quality and intuitive functionality in terms of setup, controls and operation. Great job !

The picture is awesome, the 3D is cool and I lose myself in some of my TV shows. I can't wait for my Samsung home theater system comes in to complete the experience.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, runs cool
