I always check reviews before purchasing any product.
Great fan for the price. As for the button problem mentioned, i always use a Surge Protector Power Strip that I use to turn off and on so I don't have any problems with the fan power button, or for more convenience I use a Outlet Remote Control Converter Kit .

Have had 16" 4 in 1 fan for 4 or 5 years. Use it summer/winter. For winter use I position fan head in 90 degree angle...pointed toward ceiling to help circulate warm air from ceiling,down walls and onto floor. Keeping heating bill lower. Have had two of these...first one disappeared when my daughter moved. So I purchased another one. Have had no problems with either one...both still in use.

A fan that actually moves and circulates the air

This is my second Holmes fan in about 8-10 years. I searched the internet until I found the exact fan as my original which I still have and use daily. I literally run these fan on high ( #3 ) 10-12 hours per day and I've never had a problem with either fan and they easily circulate the air throughout my house. I've purchased several other brand name fans over the years prior to buying my second Holmes fan and most have lasted 1-2 years tops, meanwhile the Holmes fan never missed a beat and is still going strong. The other brands use weak motors, 3-4 flimsy blades and they barely moved the air beyond about 5-6 feet. I live in SEC country and during the summer months the heat indexes can exceed 105 with very high humidity to the point it can be almost suffocating and even a good A/C unit needs a little help circulating the thick humid air and these fan do just that and more. If you are wondering whether or not to purchase this fan quit the foolishness and buy it. You will not be disappointed.
My only two negatives are that this newer model does not operate via remote control like my 1st Holmes fan does and on speed #3 it can be slightly noisy however if you want to actually feel the air flow and you enjoy the hum of a fan to help fall asleep this will be perfect. These are quality built fans with powerful motors, great air circulation and if cleaned and maintained regularly you should get many years of comfort and service.

I purchased this model to replace a similar Holmes fan that I have had for many years. The only reason I was replacing the old one was because my cat had chewed on the cord. The prior model was used every night for many years and was still working perfectly so I wanted to buy the same brand again. This fan is on all night every night year round. The lowest speed is all I need because the fan is very effective at moving air and has just the right amount of white noise. If you really need to move some air this one will not disappoint.
