Love this TV

This TV was recommended by a friend after my old TV died. The pictures are crisp and clear and love watching everything on there. It's better than the LED and LCD TVs my friends have.. I like the way it easily integrated with my DVD player and ease of use of the controls. I wish I had known that I could not connect to the internet without the LAN adapter prior to purchase. I bought the TV in 2011 but it was a 2010 model. I wasn't aware that 2010 models did not have Internet access and I was not informed at purchase that it was a 2010 model. But that's the only drawback. Online tech support was very good also. I do recommend this TV.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: no web access

This is my first plasma TV and I am truly impressed. This makes me want to watch TV all the time. LOVE IT!

My brother and I both bought new tv sets within a few months of each other.He bought a top-line Sony 40" 1080p LCD and I bought the Samsung 42" Plasma 720p.We both have the same HD cable provider but I have to say that the picture on my set looks a lot better than his and he paid quite a bit more for his Sony.I was reluctant to get a plasma set but I did some research and I figured that plasma was the way to go to get the best "bang for the buck".My Samsung has far exceeded my expectations and I won't hesitate to buy another one if the need arises.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Inexpensive, Durable, better picture than most 1080p lcds i've seen

Got this last thanksgiving black Friday shopping and have only been pleased. Great picture quality compared to other comparable tv's and was significantly cheaper.

Beautiful and simple design. Picture looks great too! But the most unfortunate thing happened right after the expiration of 1 year warranty period- Screen got burned-in at different places permanently and they really stand out visibly. Samsung would not do anything as because the warranty just expired!
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Built-in speakers, Bright display
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, screen burn
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Picture, wide viewing angle. Multiple HDMI ports. Multiple inputs, including PC input. Television presently has DVD Recorder, VCR, XBox 360 and PC connected, making it an excellent media center.
