Some program motion is jerky.

The only real complaint is that with some programs on cable (analogue) the movement of the actors appears to hesitate for just a fraction of a second and then rush to catch up. This gives the program a "herky-jerky" action. While not all programs appear so, on those it does it becomes distracting and irritating. Could this be due to regular cable vs digital? Don't really know. With DVDs (not Blue Ray) everything is fine. Great color and sound.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, easy to set up

Great picture

The picture is outstanding, clear, bright, and blur free (I am not a gamer, 120hz works just fine for my viewing). I paired it up with the Samsung sound bar, and I have both great sound and great viewing. My second Samsung, and very happy with both.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color

It's pretty good and I love the Anynet feature. Works well with my Samsung Blu-ray player.

PICTURE IS EXTREMELY CLEAR AND CRISP-MOVIES BECOME A NEW EXPERIENCE

I have been very happy with this product-although having it 1 week. It is a 2nd tv-we have a larger 65" dlp Toshiba that I love also, but the picture on this is more defined/clear and great in my brighter office where it is placed. Sunlight does not have much of an impact, which was the deal breaker between this and the plasma. Also has a headphone jack, allowing me to hook up all ready owned computer speaker system-big savings on additional speakers. That would be the one drawback, as is with all flat screens, but the headphone jack allows you more versatility, rather than dropping another 100 on a speaker system/soundbar that would basically be mandatory for any flatscreen nowadays.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
I would recommend this to a friend!

This LCD TV is one of the best pictures i have seen. The Product is outstanding and well worth the purchase!!! I will suggest this tv to anyone that is looking to purchase a tv in the future!

GREAT Value HDTV

It's great. Improvements towards making it ideal:
-Higher color range
-Better color accuracy
-A LOT higher dynamic ratio(brighter whites)
-Deeper blacks(it's an LCD and has backlit blacks, making it have noticeably bright blacks.)
-Solution: Local Dimming to generate deeper blacks
-It needs a Headphone output vs. its External Audio output(or both) The outcome means that the TV Volume can control 2.1 analog speakers, or wireless headsets that are connected via 3.5mm jacks or RCA.
-The screen needs to be a lot brighter(LED edge-lighting or local-dimming is a solution)
-Monolithic screen -- meaning the screen is flat with the bezel border/rim, creating one flat piece of glass, acrylic, and screen. THIS would make a much nicer, aesthetically appealing design, whether the bezel were still gloss black, or titanium brushed, like the UN46C8000 is. Examples of this design are apparent in the CES 2011 Samsungs that have yet to been retailed at the time of this post.

I think all of these could one day be perfected.
One thing I won't need perfected is 3D. That is a feature that I do not need, because it adds a lot of monetary value to a HDTV ticket price. Less expensive 2D beautys are IDEAL. :D

Pros: Lightweight, stylish, no 3d!, does the job, ideal lcd for me, relatively thin
Cons: no headphone output, not bright enough, lacks deep blacks, lacks monolithic screen design

Bought the LN40-630 LCD After many hours of research and looking at different Brands and Model LCD TV'S.
It takes longer to remove the TV from the box then the hook up time on this LCD TV. Hook up is simple and picture clarity Impressive. My DVD recording has greatly improved. I did add the Samsung BD 6500 BluRay player after i saw the picture on just the TV mode. Now i have a great picture using the Samsung BluRay player also. If you adjust the picture settings and do not like what you have done just hit the picture reset, the picture will return to factory specs. If you have not had an LCD TV before Buy this one, money well spent.
