SICK TV!

Awsome color, sharpness, black levels, clarity. 120HZ is cool for sports and movies. Great game mode feature. It is a 120,000:1 contrast. 4ms resp.4 HDMI ports! Nice glass trim around tv. Sturdy build, the back is metal. I have both PS3 and Xbox 360 connected(HDMI) and they look phenominal! Closets thing I've seen to a plasma, without all the power consump, and heat. Price is one of the biggest pro's. I previously owned a L* 42L*30, and i saw lots of people liked it, wasnt for me, i sold it. This tv is far better than most compettitors, especially given the price. It has other cool features, PIP, BD wise (optimizes picture quality in all your video units), some info link thing, i wont use it. I just game and movies and some tv. Another thing is 120HZ for games (FPS in particular) can make u dizzy. Some people have adjusted to that, I havent. It looks awsome, almost like 3D, but can be weird once your moving. Game mode fixes that, which can be found in setup , then general option, took me a while to figure out. To summarize, it is a great tv for any thing you'd like to use it for, especially for the asking price. Okay now go get it!!!!

Great TV

We finally retired a 22-year old Console so looking for a new TV was a real experience. Based on lots of reading, discussions and web searching we chose the Samsung LN40C630. It had all of the features we were looking for at a price that we could live with. In fact it is one of the few 40" TV's that offer a USB port. At first we thought we'd made a mistake as the picture was disappointing, but once we upgraded our Digital cable to HD cable we were more than satisfied. Great picture and sound, performing well for TV, movies and sports alike. There are only three negatives to mention. The user manual doe not cover all of the features so you have to access the website for help which is annoying. The Auto Motion Plus is hard to figure out and no one setting works well for all programming, at least not yet. We are still playing with that. The on screen programming is a bit complicated to understand. Over all, in the areas that really matter, it is a great TV and we are very pleased.

40: Samsung LCD Television

Television was excellent but because of store salesman not knowing product I was forced to take a television without Samsung applications or 3D. The Samsung television is excellent so far. Easy to install, easy to add to network, easy to update firmware. I also purchased a Samsung Blu-ray player which offers excellent quality Blu-ray disc playback. It was just a matter of plugging it into TV and wall for setup. Remote for TV controls TV and Blu-ray player. I also have cable TV connected to television which was no problem either. Television was very easy to setup and streaming films to the TV from Netflix is great.

So, after you troll through the hundreds of configuration, picture, and audio settings, this TV, at 120hz and 40in 1080p, and 9 different inputs plus lan/usb-media connection - cant be beat. especially for the price. picture is crystal clear and as beautiful as anything else. For the rock-bottom price, this is a top-notch TV!

LN40C630 40" 1080p LCD HDTV review

I am a big gamer and really love this TV. At first I thought I made a bad choice until I found the "Game Mode". Perfect clarity with HDMI cable. Cost vs Features/size was one of the best deals out there. Over all very happy with my choice of this TV.

I love my new Samsung LN40C630 40" 1080p LCD HDTV. My 720P SONY died and I purchased a 1080P SONY but returned it after 3 days and got the LN40C630 40" 1080p LCD HDTV which has superior picture quality over either of the 2 SONY's I had. Although I do believe the 120hz is not necessary and I actually turned that feature off because people had "choppy" movement while it was turned on. I love how the movies look now.

Fantastic Picture, Fantastic Value

I decided it was time to get a 1080p TV. I went to the local electronics store to check them out. After close consideration of several 40" models I chose the LN40C630. I wanted 120hz with plenty of inputs but not a lot of extras. I already have enough devices that can connect to the internet so I did not need that on my TV. However much to my surprise the "ALL-SHARE" feature is quite convenient. It is nice to be able to view videos and picture from my computer with out dragging out a bunch of cables and messing around with the back of the TV.
The picture is fantastic with an amazing amount of "pop" and detail. Plus with the different modes I can dial in the picture for day time sports, night time movies, even one for gaming. I would recommend this TV to anyone without reservation. I doubt you could find a better TV at this price point period.

Perfect size for my living room and a great picture, especially when watching HD on dish network. The sd viewing is pretty good considering I have read that alot of lcds are lacking in this area. The tv sound is ok, but I never use it because I have a surround sound hooked up (the only way tv should ever be heard). The 120 hz feature comes in handy when watching sports, especially something fast like hockey. I tested in out on an NHL Network rerun and it was outstanding. I can't wait for the football season to start. After spending a considerable amount of time looking at displays of lcds the Samsung always seemed to have a crisper picture than the rest and that was truly the selling point for me. By the way, if you register the lcd after purchase they will throw in an extended 3 month warranty, so it is really a 15 month warranty.
