great tv love it

this is my 1st lcd tv and i am so happy i got the 42ld520 it has a very vivid picture,so easy to adjust from sports to movies.it was easy to hook up to my 5.1 digital optical sound sistem for watching music vidios or concerts or the hockey game.when we buy anathere lcd it will be an LG!!!!

Can't Beat It

Who said a good quality television has to be expensive. While shopping for a good television, we ran across our LG and loved it. The price we paid for our new LG smoked that of the competition and we could not be happier. It is extremely easy to use, navigate, and even the set up only took 5 minutes.

Good for the Price

I wanted something that could handle all the live sports, so I wanted something that was 120Hz. However, I didn't want to sacrifice quality on the other shows. The features of this set gave me an opportunity to balance out between the two desires.
The contrast is good, as the blacks appear black. It's the first TV I've used where the preset AV modes actually do enhance what you are watching, however switching between modes for refresh rate is difficult. Adjusting the judder, etc to smooth out movement is also tough to get a gage.
I had to turn off the auto-sensor for the screen brightness as it made it too dark because of our room's lighting.
Overall, I'd tell someone to get this TV, because it's very good for its price. I looked at many other models, and the form factor combined with quality of picture made this the winner.
Another added bonus is the stand that it's on, it moves easily for me to adjust the viewing angle. It's small, but good. I wish there was a one-touch button to switch sources, but I'll take the way it works without much of a fuss. The quick menu mitigates many of the other problems, however.
It's a good set, really.

Excellent TV

Purchased the TV 4 months ago and could not be more pleased. Upgraded from a 27” CRT and I am extremely happy with my purchase. The unit is easy to use and provides a good picture. The quality of the unit compared with others of equal price is far superior. I would recommend this unit to anyone new to LCD/HD TV’s.

Ti absolutely love this tv.
I would and have been recommending this tv to others. It has a good picture and has very usfull features. A laptop can be easily used with this tv with a huge picture to watch while on the internet. once again a great tv .

LG 42LD520 HD LCD Television

This television is great for people who don't want to pay alot but still get a pretty good product. I'm loving my new 42" LCD TV!! My first ever LG product, and hopefully not my last.
