We really love the lighting - it is so much better than our previous fridge. Love the drawers. It really has room for everything although we still are moving things around! This is our first Samsung product and we would definitely buy another.
Pros: Bright display

Few small issues

I wanted this refrigerator from the moment I saw it advertised on TV. I had some issues getting this item in my home as the measurements did not include drawer slides when fronts were removed. Once in, I have enjoyed the many features. I did go with 4 stars due to the ice maker. I find it to be really loud, slow to dispense and slow to fill. I do love the extra drawer however I have to watch that things will freeze quickly in there! This item was a bit pricey and I hope it lasts for many years.

I researched quite a bit before making the purchase and am so glad I did. We needed extra space with 5 living in our home, all with different preferences and special diet needs. We had a side-by-side due to space issues before. I hated it. You were so limited as to what could be placed inside. This opens so many options. My only disappointment (and I realized it when I bought it) is lack of door storage on the left side (due to icemaker)-but learning to rearrange. We don't have any little ones in the house, but it's nice to use the middle drawer for the things we get into so frequently (drinks), leaving the rest closed. I saw several complaints about keeping the fridge clean on the front. Well, any smooth service is going to get fingerprints. I just wipe it-no problem. Look at your door knobs and light switch plates-it is amazing how dirty they get if you don't clean them. No big surprise. My textured front fridge looked cleaner-but was harder to clean when necessary. I also read complaints about loud icemaker. Well, the icemaker is very quiet-but it is loud when they drop in the bin. That could be because it's a huge bin and has a ways to drop-once it fills up-it doesn't make as much noise.I agree, the open door alarm is ridiculously soft-wouldn't alert you unless you are standing right there, and then, only if you have very good hearing! I would buy this fridge again. But do shop around, it can be had for considerably less!

Cons: lack of door storage, door ajar alarm too soft

Beware of defective icemakers in this unit

The second refrigerator was delivered today. The original purchase was on December 22, 2010, and the first fridge was delivered on the 23rd. I had to return to the place of purchase for reorder, because as of the 26th, IT DID NOT MAKE A SINGLE ICE CUBE. I was on the phone for hours with tech support, printed out info online and performed all the disassembly, line purging, ice maker resetting, power freezing, etc, that I could stand trying to make this thing produce ice. Every 8 hours for 4 days, I spent checking on the unit, but finally gave up. The replacement unit came in today, and was installed by 12pm, and by 3:30 pm, I had already seen 8 1/2 cubes dropped from the ice maker into the bucket........go figure.....
Pros: features drawer organization
Cons: price a bit high, defective icemaker
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The idea of the flex draw has been great for us. The shelfs are very good for aranging different size items. The LED lighting is very good due to the depth. And all the great comments made about it by friends, The water and ice maker is very good, we have had tem before and were very disappointed, but we like this one. The only con is the lenght that the freezer drawer pulls out, it is lacking about 1' more

My husband recommended that we look at this refrigerator and I was sold. So far, we have had it for a week now and I am pleased. The only flaw so far is that when using the filtered water in the door, it drips after you fill your container. Otherwise, it is a great.

I CHOSE THIS FRIDGE BECAUSE I WANTED A FRENCH DOOR TYPE WITH ICE AND WATER DISPENSER. THIS WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT ALSO HAD THE COUNTER HEIGHT DRAWER THAT WAS A FRIDGE DRAWER, NOT A FREEZER DRAWER. IT IS EXTREMELY WELL DESIGNED WITH VERY ADJUSTABLE SHELVES, AND THE DRAWER HAS A COOL SLIDER TYPE ADJUSTER. LOVE THE DUEL TEMP CONTROL, THE LIGHT TOUCH DISPLAY, THE SUPER DEEP FREEZER WITH AN EXTRA DRAWER AND PIZZA COMPARTMENT. ICE MAKER TURNS OFF FROM THE OUTSIDE, HIGH TEMP ALARM, CHILD LOCK. THIS FRIDGE IS AWESOME !!!!

Love my new refrigerator. I especially love the easy access outside drawer. We hardly go into the main frig because of it.
The overall style has changed the appearance of our kitchen.
We purchased a dishwasher, stove/oven, and microwave at the same time.
