Replaced a 17 year old side by side which never allowed wider storage in either side, so I am thrilled with this 4 door beauty. We could not believe it was ON when installed and plugged in, due to no noise at all! Our old one announced itself every time it went on.
The lighting system is magnificent, including automatic for the water/ice compartment. The LEDs are a designers delight!...and it seemed to cool efficently and quickly when installed. That was yesterday, so we are still acquainting ourselves with the storage possibilities. Wish I could figure out what the manual referred to as "dairy shelves"! The manual could be better organized, with recommendations for practical organization. (My old Whirlpool had many pages showing where and how to place foods. This tells me the Flex Drawer is good for pineapples <- ) ?
I am using or buying extra organizing baskets to store things that belong together. Still trying to find same for the freezer, where I tend to lose things!
As far as water dispenser leaking, I must have emptied 4 gallons 8 hours apart, and we have no more leaks. And the temperature of the water no longer hurts my eyeballs, as the old refrigerator did! It is cold and drinkable. No cubes on the floor, either!
From this 20 pages of reviews, I have become more aware of how to use it, and what to watch for, and hope to enjoy it into our sunset (we are both mid 80's).
Just thrilled with this new purchase, and thank you all for your input, which was frequently very instructive!

Pros: Bright display, wonderful space, excellent lighting, flex drawer!, nice design, white is easy to clean!
Cons: entrance door had to be removed!
I would recommend this to a friend!

So far we have been very happy with our Samsung refrigerator. It has done a great job keeping our food at optimum temperature, both in the top half and in the two drawers.
Because of the drawer and the ice maker, the top half gets a little crowded sometimes and we're still working on figuring out the ideal placement for shelves and items in that section. Still much better than our previous side-by-side though!
The kids love having access to items they frequently take in the drawer. Our only two disappointments with the drawer -- it's not quite tall enough for our son's sports drink bottles (12-oz. size). We were hoping to use the drawer for those for easy access for him and his friends. The other bummer with the drawer is while we love the adjustable separator, we wish it would lock when set or at least not move on its own quite so freely.
Those details are minor though -- we have been more than satisfied with our purchase!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love this refrigerator. It looks amazing and functions wonderfully. It holds so much food and is easy to keep organized. Because we have lots of tall items, we removed a shelf on the top right-hand side to accommodate these. I love, love, love the way it looks. The inside lighting is beautiful. The flex drawer is great. The freezer space is very adequate. I love the ice/water section. It is easy to keep clean and has pretty blue lighting.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This appliance is excellent! The extra drawer for meats, cold cuts, cheese, etc., is a great innovation. It looks and performs the way a refrigerator should!
However, a word of advice is necessary. The water and ice cubes had a chemical type of taste for the first three weeks. My suggestion is to be sure to drain at least four gallons of water from the water dispenser when you install this appliance. This should flush out any impurities in the tubing.

I make lunch every night for the next day so the middle height door is just right for sandwich and snack items. Stainless is a great looking update The freezer drawer is great for organizing smaller items. No more hidden items in my freezer!

I researched quite a bit before making the purchase and am so glad I did. We needed extra space with 5 living in our home, all with different preferences and special diet needs. We had a side-by-side due to space issues before. I hated it. You were so limited as to what could be placed inside. This opens so many options. My only disappointment (and I realized it when I bought it) is lack of door storage on the left side (due to icemaker)-but learning to rearrange. We don't have any little ones in the house, but it's nice to use the middle drawer for the things we get into so frequently (drinks), leaving the rest closed. I saw several complaints about keeping the fridge clean on the front. Well, any smooth service is going to get fingerprints. I just wipe it-no problem. Look at your door knobs and light switch plates-it is amazing how dirty they get if you don't clean them. No big surprise. My textured front fridge looked cleaner-but was harder to clean when necessary. I also read complaints about loud icemaker. Well, the icemaker is very quiet-but it is loud when they drop in the bin. That could be because it's a huge bin and has a ways to drop-once it fills up-it doesn't make as much noise.I agree, the open door alarm is ridiculously soft-wouldn't alert you unless you are standing right there, and then, only if you have very good hearing! I would buy this fridge again. But do shop around, it can be had for considerably less!
Pros: Bright display, roomy, well lit
Cons: lack of door storage, door ajar alarm too soft

I have never owned a samsung before have always been a whirpool person but the fridge is great and worth every penny we paid for it. It came down on price so we bought it and it cost more then the other ones but it is a lot bigger and has all the extras bells and whistles. Love it!

Problems experienced with Samsung french door fridge, middle drawer, and freezer drawer.

Beautiful in the showroon, but when you get it home the available space is less than avarage. Design does not highly support the use of normal grocery items. Also it does not pack full well. Limited areas for pitchers of drinks, soda liters, etc. I personally had to remove a shelf in order to get the quanity of upright pitchers and drink containers to fit and they still are limited and you have to pull everything out to get to drink pitchers in the back. Felt that this product was extremely overpriced for wuality of design.
I love the drawer. It is optimal for individuals that have children because I can put all of their snacks and juice boxes in it for them to reach it on their own. It also holds great amounts of canned soda or beer. I love the drawer in the middle except the fact that you have to open the fridge doors to reach the areas in the back of the drawer and then it still is hard to reach items in the back.
The freezer drawer is great! It holds a lot of things and the top drawer that moves is wonderful. My only issue with the freexer drawer is that if you do not have another freezer (single freezer upright) then the space might be limited. The little tray found in the front of the freezer falls of all the time. If the food in the bottom is not place perfectly the top drawer hits the tray when shuting and it falls off. A huge pain to try and put the tray back on.
