Just replaced my old Whirlpool with the new Samsung French Door refrigerator. What a great decision. Not the most inexpensive refrig. on the market however you get what you pay for particularly with this model.
After installation it was no time at all that the refrig. and freezer sections dropped to their appropriate temperatures. The lighting is simply outstanding. The many features and options allow you to store anything in its proper place. Great job Samsung.
I would recommend this to a friend!

LOVE THIS FRIDGE!!

I had done my research and checked out every fridge available out there, along with checking Consumer Reports. This is by far the most stylish and functional fridge available today. Love the interior lights, the two door shelves that fit gallon size containers, the middle drawer for easy access snacks/fruits, the external water and ice dispenser allow for taller size cups and the water dispenser really shoots out the water fast. Bought this for a new house and put the old side/side in the garage. I was going to go with another side/side because the deli trays in other fridges don't pull out all the way unless you have both doors open but the middle drawer solved that problem! I have received endless complements. Wish Samsung would make matching wine fridges.

This was the first Samsung product we've purchased and the first full sized "real" fridge we've bought. It's a big part of a major kitchen relocation project that we just completed. Opening the french doors is a small adventure-you're greeted with a blast of LED lighting that illuminates every square inch of space on the interior making everything look bright, crisp and easy to find. The two interior drawers are nice and deep which makes storing veggies and fruit a snap. The waist-high adjustable drawer is what really sold us. We store all of our materials to make lunches which was essential with two growing boys. When we have a party we simply empty the drawer and use it for wine and other beverages-very convenient. The freezer has some nice options as well-an adjustable tray for small items or larger pizza boxes and a sliding drawer that can fit a lot more than we thought it would. It's also extremely quiet. And don't forget the ice and water dispenser. Our boys are drinking more water than ever because it's so fun to get crushed or cubed ice and filtered water on-demand. The ice maker/water dispenser also has cool LED lights that turn on when you put your cup under it-very space age-hi-tech like. What seemed like such a luxury is now such a necessity. It's been well worth every penny- just make sure you have large enough door openings to get this beast in your place! Is it just me or are refrigerators getting bigger each year?
Pros: adjustability, quiet operation, programable drawer, easy to maintain

I came off a bad experience with my previous Samsung refrigerator. It had a bad icemaker and leaked from the back wall. It was a lemon and made me question the quality of Samsung. Turns out that the replacement fridge has restored my trust in the brand. I like the four door feature although you do lose a bit of storage in top refrigerator area because of it. The placement of the shelves is somewhat limited because of the icemaker and lost space but it is adequate. I nearly fell down when I opened the icemaker bin and saw it full. I never saw that with the other one and this one does it right. The dual levers, one water and one ice, make it easier to fill a glass and I don't usually have one cube "for the floor" like the previous unit. The water nozzle is pointed slightly toward the unit which stops it from splashing off the ice cubes in the glass, good idea. I am, so far, very pleased with the new fridge and do recommend it to everyone.
Pros: Bright display, four door design

Pro the look, the refrigerator drawer (we use as beverage center) the freezer is very nice Con -not alot of space for tall items in the frig. we have a lots of stuff on its side laying down. Not alot of useable space on the doors. Maybe we haven't figured out how to maximize the use of the space. But I still love my frig.
Pros: Bright display, frig drawer/beverage center, bottom freezer hold lots, very pretty frig
Cons: not alot of space for tall items, very heavy

I've been using my new refrigerator now for 2 weeks and so far it is all I expected it to be, the counter top drawer is one of the features that sold me on this model It is nice not to have to open the whole refrigerator in order to get a soft drink or a juice for the grandchildren.
Pros: extra drawer feature, more space, alarm if the door is left open, sensor light on water dispenser, ice maker is not taking up freezer space, filter location, moveable shelves for larger containers, attractive style
Cons: more color choices
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great design with just one exception. Even with the fold up shelf, there doesn't seem to be enough room for taller items.

Buyers Remorse

Our refrigerator was bought at Sears and delivered and installed by their people. Our unit came with misaligned doors, but more importantly it is loud and makes some rattling sounds when the compressor is on. It also takes a while to get cold. If you decide to buy this model, be sure to press the Energy Saver and the Power Saver button when you get it, otherwise the compressor won't turn on. Make sure that the display doesn't show "OF OF". This mode is for retailers who want to display the refrigerator and not run it in cooling mode (i.e., compressor on). I have no idea why Samsung would create a feature that no home owner would need. I think it is dangerous since you run the risk of spoiling all of your food if you accidently turn this mode on which is easy to do. I should have stuck to my original plan of buying a Whirlpool which lasted me 15 years.
Pros: some bad design features, noisy, slow cooling
