I have had this refrigerator for almost a year now, and I love it! It is the best refrigerator I have ever had. It is beautiful, no doubt, but the function of the fridge is awesome, too. It is very large, so it holds a lot of stuff, and I LOVE the middle drawer - I call it the 'beer drawer' because it is the perfect size to hold many, many beer cans and keeps them icy cold! The freezer is a good size, and is easy to find items. The ice maker can be a bit loud when the ice drops, but you get used to it pretty quickly. Overall, it is a fantastic appliance and well worth the money I spent on it.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, beautiful and modern, large, lots of storage options
It is very nice looking and big. The small slider in the freezer is a nice feature. The shelving in the refrigerator could have been designed a little more versatile. The other refrigerator had a better shelving system. We like the middle door for the kids to get drinks out of instead of opening the big doors. Plus it holds things like pizza well. It is a noisy refrigerator. I believe it is the evap motor that is making a lot of noise. We have to turn up the TV volume when the machine is in cooling mode. And when the ice drops it can actually startle you it is so loud. We feel like we got a good deal for the money, so we are pretty happy.
I love this fridge...!!! Most of the time I've had to remove a shelf to get my items to fit "the way I want them to fit" but this one.... is perfect. Its the first time I've had the pull out drawer instead of the inside deli drawer...I will NEVERr go back to the inside deli drawer ever again. I do wish they would allow the fridges to cool down to 33* instead of 34...but I can live with that little set back. I believe because of the way it is designed is the reason I get more inside. I've also had fridges with the ice maker on the door and the ice maker inside the fridge (like this one is) and I believe even though it does take up fridge space I would recommend the ice maker that is inside the fridge. The ones that are on the door ...the ice really melts together hard in the buckets and the auger has to work very hard to break it up and spit it out the ice shoot, I've not noticed that problem on this unit. I would prefer a few more "holes" in the freezer buckets to let air pass through easier but things stay froze, its just my preference. I got a good deal on this unit with sales and such, I would recommend this unit to anyone. It's sharp, functional, and right on the spot for temp.
I had looked at this model for a while and finally got it ---mainly because it is a match to my other Samsung kitchen appliances. So far I love it--the middle drawer is so convenient, the lighting is excellent. The filtered water even tastes better than my old fridge's....I swear! The ice maker is loud and sometimes I notice the motor running kind of loud...but it's not a problem for me. I am definitely glad I went ahead and bought it.
Nice fridge, only downside is that the layout in the fridge part is different. It makes it hard to put lots of drinks into it, and the freezer in the bottom is just a big drawer so everything is just stacked in there and you have to dig thru it to find what you want. I do like it, but it is very hard to organize both the fridge and freezer parts of it.
I have had this unit a month now. It is attractive, with good design features and exceptionally quiet (except for ice dropping into the ice chamber). The drawer for cold cuts, etc. is a great idea. The freezer section is well laid out. The stainless is prone to show fingerprints but easy to clean.
