Great Buy, Great Picture

Reviewed a significant number of television types, and was most impressed with LED. The image appears to me more crisp. I was not disappointed with this purchase. The image is incredible. The size was perfect for the area of my home. Highly recommend this unit for those who do not settle for less than the best.

Great picture. Love the styling. Super thin. What more could you ask for. One tip though, make sure you check out the motion settings. It's set to "standard" by default and I found "clear" is better and make movies look more realistic. Hard to explain until you see it for yourself.

I have been a sony fan for a long time but with the problems they have had latetly it was time to look around. I needed a new TV and looked at many... I got the un46c8000 and couldn't be happier! Love it!!!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color

This TV is without question the best TV I have ever owned. Actually, better than any TV anyone I know has owned. When I first got it set up and started watching my shows, the clarity of the picture just stunned me. It truly was a different experience watching my shows. Even my friends that came over said the same thing. The picture is so crystal clear and vibrant. The TV looks like a million bucks, I love the brushed stainless and glass. And, its so thin it is amazing, but the sound that comes out is better than my other TV. Even the stand it comes with looks great. The 3-D works so well that I was amazed, just like in the theater, but in my home. I got the glasses and Monsters vs. Aliens package and the movie looks great, my daughter loves it. This TV was easy to set up and looks great right out of the box. But, the menu and customizability was fabulous and easy to use and navigate. I never took the time to tweek things before, but this TV made it so easy, I took the time and set it up perfect for my living room and the lighting conditions. Without a doubt, this TV was worth every bit of the money I spent on it.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, great design and materials, easy to set up

Gorgeous! Stunning! Fun!

I can hardly believe how beautiful this television is! The television itself is absolutely stunning! The picture quality is gorgeous! And Blu-ray movies are the best I've ever seen! There are a few things that could be improved: the sound quality coming directly from the television is a little one dimensional, so we'll be adding some speakers; and there's noticable ghosting when watching 3D - which I'm hoping will be corrected in a future firmware update. But other than that, we're thrilled with our purchase!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, picture quality, excellent user guides, easy setup
Cons: sound quality, 3d ghosting

Finally took the plunge to upgrade to an LCD HDTV (from a 6yr old DLP projection HDTV.) I'd been researching Samsungs for awhile, and this was the one I selected.
The picture is spectacular. The TV design is beautiful, and so thin; I could easily set the TV a good 12" further back than my former TV, which makes the 46" size just as comfortable as my former 44" set. Setup was pretty easy once I got it home, and I'm happy to be using all HDMI connections now, eliminating a lot of the cable clutter of my last setup.
There are so many settings to explore in the TV's setup menus, but it is worth doing some homework and familiarizing yourself with some of them---some settings can, in their default mode, make some movies (particularly BluRay) appear too vivid and crisp, too "real"; once you adjust those settings to eliminate that, things just look, well, spectacular!
I didn't buy this TV for the 3D functionality, so I can't comment on that part (yet.)
I've used the USB slots to slideshow my photographs (amazing to see my images at 40" across!) I've also explored the DLNA option for streaming my photos and some videos, from my computer---however, there isn't a Samsung-provided application for Mac users; just Windows users---that is mildly disappointing, but I've found some workarounds online.
My only real functional complaint is the included remote control, isn't a learning remote... so I can't eliminate the other remote controls. While it does control the basics of my Samsung BluRay player, it doesn't cover every function of that player, so I have to keep the BluRay remote handy, as well as my cable box's remote.
But all the positives of the TV far outweigh that. I would easily buy this TV again, if I had to.

Awesome TV

After much research on different manufacturers, I found Samsung to be the best. Bluray film on this TV looks awesome and real life like. HD Nation said this was the best LED 3D TV out there right now and i agree. Picture Quality right out of the box is almost perfect and not much calibration, if any is needed, and the black levels on this TV are awesome. I have not touched the 3D feature yet and I'm already satisfied with performance. If you love watching Bluray movies this is the TV for you. My only con is that I wish I had bought the 55inch instead of the 46inch.
Pros: Realistic color, Lightweight, excellent black levels, great design, easy to use
Cons: none
