Over all, I like this TV a lot. I love how the PS3 games and Bluray movies look on this TV. However, I wish the remote control comes with a better design. It is very hard to see in a low lighting.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: remote control

The best Samsung has to offer

I began looking for new TV's 3 months ago. As I began my research I stared to realize for the money you cannot get better than Samsung. The picture in the 8000 is far better than the 7 series as well as the 9 series. The Intelligent dimming gives this TV the best blacks you will find in a edge Lit LED. The colors and detail pop on this TV. One drawback is the cross-talk in 3D but compared to Sony you will have a better 3D experience. If you are going between this and the 9 series I would go with this. It has a better picture, higher contrast ratio, and is thin enough for most.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This TV has an amazing image quality in 2d mode and an equally amazing image quality in 3d mode. 3D is just mind blowing, watching the Monster vs Alien movie is as good as in teather. Even the simulated 3D looks good.
I also own a PS3 and playing Avatar the Game in 3D is even more amazing. ( Avatar the game support 3D for our TVs ). Everytime i show my set up to friends and family, they are amazed by how everything looks.
Now i can only wish Samsung comes with a new 3D starter kit, so i can get a new movie with 2 more glasses :)

I have a year old 42" plasma, and a year old 37" LCD (For the bedroom.) I'm on satellite TV and this tv is has a awesome picture, so clear and defined. I've not seen a better picture anywhere, and I shopped around a lot. My wife loves the fact it hangs on the wall like a picture. I used a ultra slim hanger. My only regret is I listened to my wife and bought the 46" model. I've had this six weeks and now she sees like I did earlier, we could have used the 55" size. Size does matter. I have viewed a couple live college football games that were broadcast in 3-D. They were fantastic! Especially the shots from field level looking down field. When players approach the field of play from the bench, they look like they are coming from over your shoulder. But best of all, is the great sharp, clear, and defined picture in any HD broadcast. Even non HD on this tv is better than the picture I had on my old CRT HD tv when watching it with a HD broadcast. Now when my wife and I watch tv anywhere else we roll our eyes and smile at one another. This tv has spoiled us. BTW, having a internet tv is great too. The future is now. Don't wait.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, built in apps, hangs on the wall as flat as a picture
Cons: should have bought the larger size.

I remember watching "21st Century" hosted by Walter Conkite when I was a kid. I imagined the future would be cool! Well it took a LONG time! Now the kids of today have toys I wished existed when I was a little fellow. OF COURSE I understand that it is the lucky kids who can enjoy such things because they are, of course, expensive. If the kids are not lucky now then remember to pick the right major in college and don't go for idiotic degrees.
The TV is like a dream come true. Even the commercials are interesting to watch!!!
When connected to the Internet this magic box gets even more worth the bucks.

Great TV. Great inc operation of applications in the Internet TV.
GOOD: In cooperated applications, media player
ED effect of Television and stunning picture

Great TV. I am so happy that I did my research and selected the best HDTV. I've only had the TV a few weeks, but it is wonderful. Picture is clear and beautiful. Features are great. In fact, I've ordered another one for my lower level. I was thinking about ordering another brand, but this one was so good, I ordered the 55".

Not only would I recommend it to a friend, I did recommend it to a number of friends. The 3d effects are amazing, now we just need some more software for the tv. Either dvds or television programs. Hopefully soon, otherwise what was the point. Though regular programming looks good as well.
