[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was bought as I can't find anymore filter for my Old Canister Holmes HAP580 that I have for almost 20 yrs --and it still works great. ❤️Please make it again! Anyway, with all the fires in our area which produces a lot of smoke, I can breathe clean air in my house especially with my allergies. It's a bit loud but it's alright as I know it's really working to filter the bad air. I just leave it on #2 setting all day. I love it so much that I just ordered 1 for my son, and another 1 for me.

Good performance hampered by design flaw

I own two of these units and both have burned at the PCB (where the buttons are located), but somewhat functions still. They now create a permanent burnt plastic smell on the filters. They had worked well for a number of years being used in an always cool setting (70 degrees). In warmer rooms there is a design flaw that causes the section by the plastic buttons to overheat and melt the plastic casing. Notice the burnt PCB by the power resistor and the underside of it which has burned the adhesive.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this a few years back for my daughter cuz my granddaughter had asthma this is truly one of the better purifers out there, so I bought two for my home as well I like the light indicators and the reset and the filters are affordable great product
