I had this for years, never had to really use it a lot except during west coast summer wildfire season, when smokey smell would permeate everything and irriate my sinuses. During the pandemic AND summer wildfire season, I used it everyday, helped tremendously in the home office, bedroom, small living room. Pretty light to move it around from room to room. I have seasonal allergy, pet allergy, occasional sinusitis, and this machine is fantastic to clear out the room, at least to alleviate symptoms. Please keep making this model, I don't know if I can survive without it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi there! We hope you are healthy and staying safe. Thank you so much for your review. Your feedback is very much appreciated. We will strive to deliver great experiences consistently. Cheers!
I have loved this machine for years. It does the job! I have two. One has died and I don’t know how to fix this! It has reduced my child’s allergies so I desperately want to fix this. It was expensive and I’m at a loss on how to fix. I always rely on Holmes products
We have TWO of these units- one in the garage (where my boyfriend smokes) and one in the main part of the house. We also have two cats. I cant tell you what a difference the purifiers make! Not only is there less dander (and my sinuses are thankful!) but the cigarette smoke is not noticeable (almost) at all. Also, we live in CA- and with fire season, the purifiers are running full time, non-stop (on level 3, per the instructions) and our house does not smell like a wildfire (like some of my neighbors, unfortunately). I'm SO GLAD we bought these! :) I wish you sneeze free days with your new air purifier!
This seems to work tirelessly through California fires and allergy seasons. I like the white noise too. While adjustable, it seems an added bonus that it filters out neighbor noise and I can still hear the birds. Love it!
I have used this exact air purifier for years (and loved it), but I had to get a new one when we moved (the old one was getting worn out). This new one is making an annoying humming noise (it's louder than the air blowing). Is this normal? I have read other reviews saying the same thing. Is that how they all are, or am I safe in getting a replacement?

I bought this unit and a smaller one back in 2015 and 2016. The smaller unit I ran everyday for my granddaughter in her room. The bigger unit for my room. Since moving into my new home, had not use either units. But four days ago, I turned on the larger unit in the hallway of the house. It has cleared the air so much that my house shows no signs of any particals, cat hair or dust flying around the room. The house is so clean looking. It has caused me to reduce the number of breathing treatments that I have had to take to as needed. My house is so much fresher and I do not have to get rid of my cats. Thank you so much. P.S. I can live with the noise.
i bought one a few years ago. very good at removing particles. i bought two more later and now purchasing a 4th. i live near a great northeastern city and the air is very dusty from industry. plus folks burn wood in winter. i see the debris the carbon filters block. the HEPA filters catch the rest. any surface such as dresser top, shelves or knick-knacks remains clean. i vacuum the carbon filters every 6 weeks which is easier than dusting everything else. noisy? yes. quite on "1" setting but i use 3 in bedroom and 4 every where else. i'll put up with some noise to have clean air. you should too!
