New Swiffer Wet Jet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new Swiffer Wet Jet! It had been several years since I have owned one and the new updated design is fabulous! The attachment of the pad is so much easier. It just velcros on the bottom without have to tuck the cloth into the "pinch holders" on the old style. The spray is also much better and covers a bigger area more evenly. It sprays out of two nozzles off of the bottom which I really liked. I enjoyed the clean smell of the included cleaner as well. I only used the deep cleaning scrubber sample that came with it, and had great results on my tile and hardwoods. I would recommend a traditional mopping or deep cleaning first though and using Swiffer as your daily touch up, or it will take more than one swipe to get it sparking clean.

Great at deep cleaning, with caveats

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a ceramic tile kitchen, and this is where I planned to first test out our new Swiffer Wet Jet. I definitely went in with a little knowledge of the limitations of what it can and cannot do - so I made sure to thoroughly sweep the floor to maximize the effectiveness of the Wet Jet. I will say it does an amazing job of getting whatever buildup you might have on your floor, but I found that it leaves behind a little bit of a sticky feel. This was easily remedied by taking some paper towel over the trouble spots, however not exactly something that I would want to do often. Another issue I had was that the little bit of pet hair that I missed while sweeping became stuck to the floor, and wouldn't be picked up
By the Swiffer itself. I attribute this to the fact that things may have been too wet. I think this product is best suited for maintenance of an already mostly clean floor - it was not great when there were things left over from sweeping, or when there was something stuck on the floor.

Fantastic Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Swiffer Wet Jet is a great addition to our household. I was able to set it up in a matter of minutes and was ready to start on the floors. It's so easy to use and it took minutes to clean the entire room. I didn't have to worry about a water source or ringing out a mop. I gently sprayed and mopped the floors. Cleaning the floors is not a dirty job with the Swiffer Wet Jet. The starter kit comes with a multipurpose floor cleaner for the Swiffer, you will not be able to use your own cleaning solution you have to buy the swiffer jet floor multipurpose cleaner refills. It very easy to remove the empty bottle and replace it with the refill.

Swiffer Wet Jet Product Review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a Swiffer Wet Jet Starter Kit which included 1 power mop, 5 mopping pads, 1 bottle of floor cleaner and 4 AA batteries. The unit itself is very lightweight, but sturdy and well put together. It was advertised as being able to work and be gentle on virtually all types of finished floors and I was able to put it to the test quite often during this holiday season since the majority of the main floor living space has primarily hardwood flooring with partial linoleum in the entrance hallway and ceramic tile flooring in the bathrooms.
The unit itself requires some very minor assembly before using and the directions are very simple to follow. Prior to using this Swiffer unit, I had been using a broom, mop or vacuum to clean these same areas. While it does a very good job cleaning, I found it primarily works best for light touch up duty work and not the heavy duty type. The cleaning solution is easily dispensed onto the floor with a button you simply push down on and emits a very pleasant scent. So not only will the area be clean afterwards, but will also smell nice.
I was somewhat concerned at first because my hardwood flooring is rather light in color and I was afraid the pads might leave scratch marks. Surprisingly, they are very delicate on the floor surface while still being able to do some deep cleaning such as scuff marks from shoes. Spills were very easy to clean as well as sticky spots and lightly stained areas. I was very impressed with its overall performance because it was like being able to sweep and mop at the same time thus saving on time.
For rooms that sees more foot traffic or in homes where a pet may shed often, I would suggest sweeping that room first before using the Swiffer. That will help prolong the life of each pad and allow you to clean the entire home using only one refill. Then you simply dispose of the old pad when you are done.
The greatest part of the Swiffer is that you won't have to constantly bend over or wring a mop head to get the job done and it's so simple to use. While I was very impressed with this unit, I didn't give it the highest rating possible because of two reasons:
1. The refill pads are not universal which means you can only replace using the Swiffer brand. A pad which can be washed and thus be re-usable would also have been an ideal alternative.
2. It runs on 4 AA disposable batteries and I prefer to be able to use the rechargeable ones because it's better for the environment and less costly in the long run.

Other than that, I was very pleased with the unit. It is so light in weight, I never would have thought it would have been able to perform as well as it did. I can't wait to try out some of the other varieties of scented cleaning solutions.

great for quick clean up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the Swiffer Wet Jet worked really well for quick clean ups and daily cleaning. I have all tile and stone the swiffer cleaned up most set in spots, it smells really nice, the pads are super easy to put on and take off. I used the Swiffer for my entire house after a couple of days of traffic it did a great job the pad was really dirty so it picks up a lot of dirt & grime. Also the pads are good for quite a large area before you need to change it.

Swifter Wetjet makes cleaning fun.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was currently using a bucket and mop to clean my hard wood and tile floors. I had tried the Swifter Wet Jet when they first came out I liked it but it ended up not lasting very long as the handle was kind of flimsy. My teenage son used it and the handle broke. I am pleased to say that the new and improved Swifter Wet Jet is much better made. The handle is made better and is very sturdy without being heavy. I am very happy to say that I no longer will be using my mop and bucket. The Swifter Wet Jet makes cleaning much easier and less messy. You just apply the disposable pad to the bottom, squirt out the cleaner onto the floor and mop away. And the best part when you are done you just toss the dirty pad in the trash and that's it. No fuss no muss! In our new home we have mostly hardwood floors and some tile. Very pleased with this product and I would definitely recommend it to everyone. My grandson even wanted to mop the floor. Now that is a win!

My new found Love!

Great product for in between cleaning!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this product is great for in between cleaning. I like that Swifter doesn't leave my tile floors hazy or sticky. I wouldn't use this product for deep cleaning, but for quick cleaning it's great. The cleaning solution has a pleasant scent too.
