Defected product
on January 1, 2026
Posted by: Wet Jet
I must of bought a defected one because the top part handle keeps coming out of the socket, so I taped it. It doesn't want to spray anymore either. I just changed the batteries, so I am sure that is not what is wrong with it. The sad part is I just bought it in October 2025 so its been less than 3 months since i purchased it and been having all these problems with it and it's not like they are cheap. This is my second time buying one because i really do like it. The other one worked with no problems, but I left it at a friend's house. I guess it's it's a hit or miss.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Swiffer WetJet. I’m sorry to hear that you’ve encountered issues with the handle and the spraying function, especially so soon after your purchase. I understand how frustrating this can be, particularly when you have enjoyed using the product in the past.
From your description, it sounds like the handle may not be connecting properly. Please ensure that the poles are twisted together until they lock into place, as this can sometimes require a firm push. Additionally, if your Swiffer WetJet is brand new, it may need priming. You can do this by holding the button on the handle for several seconds until spray comes out of the nozzles. If the nozzles are clogged, gently brushing them may help restore functionality.
Since you mentioned that you have already changed the batteries, please double-check that they are inserted correctly and that the battery door is closed until it clicks.
I encourage you to reach out to our service team at (800) 742-9220. They will be able to assist you further and gather more details about your experience. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we want to ensure that you have a positive experience with our products.
Thank you again for your feedback, and we look forward to resolving this issue for you.

Must have in every home

This does exactly what it says it will. It helps eliminate dust on lots of different surfaces and is easy to put away when not using. I would highly recommend and always have one in my closet ready to use.

Lasted 3 cleans

When it works it is a good product but it is a reliability nightmare. The spray motor is prone to failure. This is the third WestJet I have purchased that has failed. Each one, has lasted less than the one it is replacing. I can’t justify replacing and I’m trying to figure out how to use my remaining solution and pads.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello! Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with the Swiffer WetJet. I understand how frustrating these issues can be, especially after multiple purchases. Here are some troubleshooting steps for the spray motor:
1. Check the Batteries: Use two new AA alkaline batteries from the same package, ensuring they are inserted correctly and are not rechargeable. 2. Inspect the Unit: Confirm that all pole pieces are securely snapped together. 3. Clogged Nozzles: Gently brush the nozzles to unclog them. 4. Priming the Unit: Hold the button on the handle for several seconds until spray comes out, and squeeze the solution bottle gently while pressing the button.
If these steps don’t resolve the issue, please give us a call at (800) 742-9220, so we can help you further!

Second WetJet stopped working
on January 30, 2026
Posted by: Disappointed101
I am very disappointed in the Swiffer WetJet. My first WetJet quit working due to the motor and now so has the second one. This time again, it’s the motor. I tried new batteries, and even cleaned out the spray nozzles. But it just won’t work anymore. I think it's only 4-5 months old.The last couple times I used it, the motor sounded like it was “dragging” or just not working right. And now, I can’t use my spare pads & cleaning solutions. Is there anything you can do?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The lifespan of a Swiffer WetJet can vary based on individual usage, which can make it challenging to predict how long each unit will last.
