Bought to use on my Purgo floors! Leaves disgusting sticky film on floor which has to be redone by hand! Thanks for doubling the time it takes to do my floors!

Thank you for picking up a Swiffer WetJet Mop Starter Kit. We want to assure you that Swiffer is designed not to leave a residue and should provide a great clean on virtually any floor in your home. For best results, make sure the product is suitable for your floor. Do not use Swiffer Wet cloths or the Swiffer WetJet on unfinished, oiled or waxed wooden floors, non-sealed tiles, or carpet. If it is suitable, for best results, sweep or vacuum your floor before using Swiffer Wet cloths or the Swiffer WetJet. It may help to know that brand new floors may have a special coating on them for shipping protection, which can cause streaking. Streaking and cloudiness can also happen if other cleaning products have been used on the floor recently. In either case, using the product a few more times should solve the problem. Remember, if you have tough stains on your floor, allow the solution to sit on the spot for 10-15 seconds before mopping it up. Know we're here to help Mondays through Fridays, from 9 AM to 6 PM, EST. It would be our pleasure to assist as best we can with this at 1 (800) 214-8734.

My first one worked great for years. It finally fell apart. I bought a new one and it stopped working in less than a month. I emailed the company and have yet to hear back from them.

We're sorry your Swiffer WetJet stopped working in less than a month, Buddie. Our products undergo many quality checks to ensure they get to you with the best results, so we don't expect these things to happen. We have a few suggestions we'd like you to try:

*Double-check to ensure all the pole pieces have snapped together properly during assembly.
*Make sure the arrow printed on the bottle label is against the pole or that the narrow side of the bottle is against the pole.
*Your Swiffer WetJet may need priming. Hold the button on the handle for several seconds until spray comes out of the nozzles. You may need to squeeze the solution bottle gently while pressing the spraying button.
*The nozzles could be clogged. Brushing them gently might help them to start spraying.

So we can help you get back to Swiffering away, please call us at (800) 742-9220 Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 6 PM EST.

Not a good buy anymore, just by a mop and a bucket

Poor evolution of a product that was great. I have had my old Swiffer for several years and it used 4 aa batteries. Well, I decided to go and get a newer and streamlined one so went purchased a newer one and realized that it had used only 2 AA batteries. Well, that's where it soon realized that it was both efficient and well cheap. Well, it died within a few uses. I didn't even get a years' worth out it. I rarely use it because I have a self-mopping and vacuuming robot. So, I use the Swifter only on occasions when i need to clean a spot here and there. Then as soon as I needed to buy a refill bottle my device was doa.

We're sorry to hear this, since we can assure you that our WetJets go through strict quality checks to ensure that you can rely on them. While our WetJets now require 2 batteries instead 4, the product will provide the same floor cleaning experience. If you haven't already, we recommend replacing the batteries with fresh AA alkaline ones that all come from the same pack. As well, check to see that the solution bottle isn't empty and is fully inserted, and try gently brushing the nozzles to help loosen any clogs that may have formed. We hope this helps, and please give us a call at (800) 742-9220 if you'd like any further assistance.

This is disappointing to hear because our Quality Team is so active in our facilities, making sure every PowerMop is ready to get your floors swiftly clean. Because your Swiffer PowerMop is brand new, you’ll want to make sure to remove the thin piece of cardboard packing in the solution bottle housing. If this doesn’t help please give us a call at (800) 742-9220 and we’ll be happy to further assist you!

I tried the original and the wood floor and both smells awful. I will never ever buy this product again. It was a waste of money, and I am truly disappointed.

I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing my fourth one. Same as everyone elses reviews. Just stops working. I will not be getting another one and you need to replace all the money I spent on these. Bad product, I'm Done! I usually never review products to much, but this one just called for it.

I have had three Swiffer in within a year they are not working any longer. I do like the Swiffer mops so if I can receive a coupon for a new one with buying another, I would keep using the product.
