My husband & I are so happy with our new purchase of the 22 cu. ft. Whirlpool Gold Bottom Freezer. We love the design of the adjustable shelves, door space for large items, the amount of divided space inside the refrigerator. I love the bottom freezer because of the capacity of space & having 2 drawers for easy access.With the cost of utilities always on the rise, I know we are using so much LESS electric. We will always purchase any appliances from Whirlpool, big reason why, "MADE IN USA" ! Thank you, Whirlpool.

It's great having the frige all on top. No more deep knee bends or head stands to access the bottom shelves. I like doing my exercises at the gym rather than in my kitchen.

I had an older model of 4 years that failed twice, but Iiked the bottom freezer. This was the only one that I could get in one day without the poor designs of the French doors. So far this one is quiet and working well

Keeps food cold and dry. Roomy door space. Freezer space could be improved. Plastic inside seems brittle and cheap.A bit too loud.

Attractive, very convenient, energy saving appliance

Although larger than I thought, the refrigerator is attractive, and convenient. I love the bottom freezer, and convenience of regularly used items at chest level, easily accessible. I have already noted energy savings too.

The single door is more functional that double doors.

I previously had a double door on the top for the fridge. I've found that the single door gives me better utilization of space in the doors. In my previous fridge, I could not put 2 gallons of milk together on a shelf in the door. Now on the bottom shelf of the door I can fit two gallons of milk and three 2 liter bottles of soda! This really frees up the body of the fridge for other items.

Defrosting issue. Ice lays on the freezer floor. Once the bottom is filled with ice, the water then starts to drip on the floor. It's been defrosting in the freezer and ends up with a thick sheet of ice on the freezer floor. Cleaned it out every week and its back within days. Called a repairman, he said its very common on these fridges, the defrost drain line is tiny and frequently gets plugged up causing this problem. Went on line and found a video about how to DIY. Now I'm praying it doesn't happen again. This fridge is 3 years old. We've been dealing with this defrosting issue for 2 years. My last fridge worked for 20 years. I recommend staying away from the Whirlpool Gold bottom freezer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
