ergonomically excellent and nearly too smart

I will never buy another top freezer again because this design is so ergonomically perfect. There is no need to bend, stretch, or move things around to get at what I use most. Also, the shelves on the door are perfect for products that are wider --like a half-gallon of milk. I am more than happy with this purchase and would highly recommend this refrigerator/freezer to all...especially those who want the convenience of your food "in your face" so to speak.My only criticism is the set-up for the freezer drawer: it has a divider and a separate pull-out drawer that is further divided. I would prefer no dividers as I am an excellent freezer packer! I feel without the dividers, I could fit more in the freezer. Also, I do not use the ice maker and that takes up more freezer room.

An unexpected surprise for a excellant product!

We really did not "need" a new refrigerator, but nearing the age of 70, we wanted to up-grade to a frig with the freezer on the bottom, with enough "seeable" space up top that we could put anything of any size on any shelf. This model met all our needs. We were pleasantly surprised that we didn't have to get a huge frig to meet our needs, and have found this one to be bigger, yet more efficient. It even has enough room to put big containers on the space where the door closes while we rearrange other things.. And we love how fast it freezes too!! This freezer holds so much more and so convenient to reach in and out! LOVE OUR WHIRLPOOL :)

I have had this refrigerator for about 3 months and I am enjoying it!! I love how spacious it is! I also love the ice maker - which I didn't know that it had one when I purchased it, but found out after reading the manual.

The refrigerator and freezer have met all our expectations. Would love to get rid of the built in ice maker as it's not a feature we use but I understand many people like it.Our previous product was still running after 25 years but since it was an energy sucker decided to replace it before it died on its own.So far so good for this product...love the bottom freezer and the roomy refrigerator. Great buy for the price.

Got better with time

When I first got this unit it would make a horribly annoying sound that I attributed to things in the frig door rattling around. It has sort of just gone away now. It does make another strange soung when I think it may be self defrosting? It is not very loud and have gotten used to it. All in all I am very happy with my purchase

Easy to use features

This is the second Whirlpool refridgerator we purchased( we bought a different house in Jan.). We replaced a side-by-side with a bottom freezer that fit he existing space nicely. I love both reffridgerators and would recommend them.

I just love my new Whirlpool Gold refrigerator. It is so easy to store and find items in this refrigerator. Thanksgiving leftover were so easy put away without a hassle. The bottom freezer is great. Food items are easily accessible. It keeps ice cream so nice. Also, frozen vegetables does not collect condensation. This refrigerator is easy to clean.

I love the way this unit is designed. The four compartments in the freezer allow one to stay quite organized-more so than with other drawer style freezers. The top is easy to arrange, and the door shelves are deep enough to hold a gallon of milk. Having a bit more room on the door, and a bit less on the shelves means that there is less space "way in the back" and it is easier to keep track of everything. The parts come out easily for cleaning. It seems to hold much more than I would have expected at 22 cu ft. The motor runs very quietly! Overall, this is a great refrigerator in a very reasonable price range. .
