I will never go back to another style of refrigerator. I just love the features. I don't have to worry about opening the freezer door and having things fall on me any more! I love the space that I have in the refrigerator I don't have to take everything out to find what I want.

I wanted a French door frig but it wouldn't fit. Now I'm so glad I love this frig. When you open the door you can see everything in a glance. The same with the freezer, I couldn't be happier!

I carefully shopped around for the best looking, best quality refridgerator for some time before I decided the Whirlpool Gold Bottom Freezer was the one that fit my needs. I didn't realize how good of a design it really was until after it was installed and running! The bottom freezer means a lot less bending over for common items and there is an abundance of room for storage of frozen foods. The effeciency compared to my old refridgerator is amazing. I've had lower utility bills than I ever expected when compared to prior years. I highly recommend this model to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, efficient and appealiing refridgerator.

Very solidly built, but the ice maker is a touch loud

We're big fans of the Whirlpool Gold line (our Gold microwave has been abused fairly well, but is still heating like a champ) so we went for the Gold fridge when we needed a new one.It was considerably less expensive than other similar models, with a better build quality.The only two issues I have are that the ice maker is a bit loud when refilling, and occasionally the freezer drawer gets stuck due to a slightly displaced item (it'd be nicer if there was a touch more room between the parts of the slide out system).All in all, this one is tough to beat!

good mid price refrigerator

Had to replace our side by side refrigerator when it died a month before Christmas. The stainless steel on this unit is very attractive. I do miss not having the ice/water in door and it can be a bit noisy but overall the design is good, shelves are versatile. The humidifier drawer is a plus. It definitely keeps things fresher. Very roomy.

Great fridge - only 1 thing taking some getting used to.

After much research I purchased this fridge for our kitchen in our new (to us) townhome. I left behind my customized kitchen with high-end appliances. This single door model was less cost that the same size French door model, and still has fine access. At first I wasn't thrilled about the open baskets in the freezer section, but it is easier to clean up when ice cubes, crumbs or whatever fall out of packages, so I am now preferring the baskets to the solid bottom freezer drawers. The one thing we struggle with is when you open door, close it and then try to open it again immediately, the seal or vacuum makes it hard to open; you have to really tug at it and bottles and jars in the door shelves get jiggled. If we wait about 60 seconds, it's OK. Also, I wish the divider in the freezer door was adjustable - I couldn't get a frozen pizza box to lay flat on one side or the other, so I removed the divider. Problem solved! Love the ice maker - the cubes aren't too big and it works quietly and fast.
