A bit pricy but a good fridge.

After my fridge died, I was left with a Sunday night scramble to purchase another fridge. Picked up this model at the local big box store as it was what they had and what would fit in my kitchen. All in all I'm pretty happy with the unit. I had to swap the doors around to open from the right, which was pretty easy to do once one figured out how to switch the door pin around. Only thing I don't like is that the light/ temp control panel are smack dab in the middle of the fridge at the front of the top which gets in the way. That is why I gave the design a 4 out of 5. Otherwise, I'd have given it 5's across the board. Fridge works great, the pull out freezer is a dream and all in all it is a good unit. Only con is the control panel is in the way (for me).

This is everything that i expected when purchasing it. Great space and easy to move shelving if needed. Looks great in the kitchen as well.

good product mad in USA

This unit works good ,looks good and is a good value for the $$$. We bought a Whirlpool fridge in 1986 and replaced it 15 years later with a different brand because we wanted to get a new Fridge to match the remodeled kitchen. We moved the old Whirlpool to the garage for a second fridge for beverages etc. Needless to say the other refridgerator purchased in 2001 broke down for the third time in two years this summer. But our old 1986 Whirlpool in the garage is still running like new so that is why we purchased another Whirlpool in 2012. Plus they are made in Ohio USA!

Died at 2 years old!

We bought this refrigerator a little over 2 years ago, and it died suddenly over the weekend. 1000 oz of irreplaceable frozen breast milk gone! We were happy with this refrigerator before its sudden death. We are still trying to figure out what happened. If we figure it out, I will update this review. Since it is outside the 1-year warranty, any repairs are on us. Very disappointing for a 2-year-old appliance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
